Aren't they already in a rough situation as it is as far as cap? Don't they have to let either Holmes, Edwards, or Harris walk next season or something like that?

jets came out and said they are looking to resign there players rather than going after him

Wow talk about painting yourself in a corner. What if the Jets didn't want him for some reason?

You mean the Jets not wanting him because they are already satisfied in their secondary and doesn't want to blow up their offense to grab ANOTHER secondary player?

without new agreement nobody is going anywhere

Asomugha's still going to want his 15 million a year for certain.

With the great thing called the salary cap, which I'm fairly certain if it were in place today the Jets would be in gross violation of, they won't have the room to sign him.

Unless they cut the rest of their defense.

maybe the jets have other things on their mind right now like a PLAYOFF game against New England... I mean come on lets worry about our own MESS...

So their gonna spend a 2nd round pick on Cro and then let him walk, makes sense! If we did that our "only we make mistakes fans" would go nuts and Finheaven would crash with the intelligent threads.

That pick would not come until next year.

If Nnamdi comes, Cromartie leaves. The difference would be around $5mil I think, and two shut down corners. As a result, One of the two WRs would be gone. Not the worst situation though. And if Jenkins decides to retire, or Jets release/trade him, we'll save even more. With the Woody injury, Im not sure if he'll be around either.

No they aren't.That's just Finheaven message board wishful thinking.Tannenbaum has stated that we can keep all of our players if we want to this offseason. We are in good shape cap-wise.

Uh yea, Jets can't afford you Nmandi... I'd love for them to let at least 3 of Holmes, Edwards, Harris, and Cromartie walk to pay for you. Never going to happen though.

We are in good shape financially. We can sign him if he takes reasonable money and doesn't want to break the bank.If he wants a mega contract then he doesn't really want to be a Jet.I think he would take less to be on a potential superbowl team after being with the Faders so long.
