San Diego State will not waste any time replacing football coach Brady Hoke (http://topics.signonsandiego.com/topics/Brady_Hoke), who was hired Tuesday for the same job at the University of Michigan (http://topics.signonsandiego.com/topics/Michigan). SDSU is expected to announce Wednesday that defensive coordinator Rocky Long will be named the Aztecs' 18th head coach.

If they keep Al Borges, they should be fine.

That said, Long's not that bad of a coach.

My hope is that Long just continues to use the pro style system that was run by Borges and Hoke.

BUMP.

Rocky Long has been given a five year deal, worth $4 million dollars. In addition, Long has said that he will maintain the offensive scheme that was utilized by Al Borges.

whats ironic is before we hired Greg Robinson, Rocky Long reached out to Michigan to be DC since he knew Rod wanted to run the 3-3-5, BUT he wasn't hired cause he felt Rod's WVU assistants didn't want to run the same 3-3-5 stack.

BTW X, Hoke killed it at the PC today

Not surprised. Being Michigan's head coach was Brady Hoke's dream. In Brady's mind, this is his LAST stop. Michigan football is going to be relevant again, and it's going to be relevant in the very near future.
