NY Jets strength and conditioning coach Sal Alosi has resigned from his role, Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum announced Monday night. In December, Alosi was suspended after he was caught forming a sideline wall with several Jets teammates and tripping Miami Dolphins player Nolan Carroll.

Pretty lame by Alosi to trip Carrol but at the same time I hate to see him lose his job over it. Then again, I read that Jets were cutting a lot of jobs anyway. In any event, I am sure the tripping incident didn't help.

He's off to play Snookie's latest love influence on Jersey Shore.

I expect that guy to open his mouth and tell the truth about that incident at some point.

Imagine if we hire him, we do need a strength & condition coach and the Jets were pretty healthy.

How is it in the wrong forum? This guy tripped a Dolphins player and it is the reason why he got into this mess.

We should hire him as our gunner-tripping-quality-control coach. We need all the help we can get on STs. But he's probably too experience for us.

@AdamC- They are referring to the fact that some believe he was told by his superiors to form that wall and to prevent players from getting up field faster.

He did not say it was an order to do so which I believe it was.

The jobs they cut had to do w/ ticket sales for the new Stadium. Alosi's position as S&C coach will be filled.

He should never have even had a chance to consider resigning. He should have been fired after the loss to the Dolphins.

Dolphins hired Darren Krein two weeks ago to be the new strength coach.

I was really surprised he wasn't fired after the Dolphins game.
