could be worth a 3-5 round pick if stats match up to highlight reel

in the 5th round if we have failed to pick a qb so far i would consider it but not b4 then. How many "vick clones" come out each year? Probably like 3-4 and how many succeed? None other than Vick, speedy qbs are vastly over rated in public opinion and on this site. A mobile qb that knows how to move in the pocket to avoid pressure is great, someone who tucks the ball away and runs every other down isn't.
If this team fails to pick up Mallet, Ponder, or even Locker i can honestly say i dont give a flying **** what we do at qb because i will be in the hospital through next season recovering from my simoultanious(sp?) hear attack, and stroke, not to mention recovering from the severe concussion from banging my head against the wall yet again.

Ditto. Only in the 5th. I think he will be there when we pick but hopefully we have already taken a QB in the draft. I must admit that if we walk away with Taylor as the QB we picked from the draft I will be pissed.

Why would you use a pick on Taylor? Why not use that pick on something that will have a hope of contributing something to the team? Id rather them trade the 5th for a ST gunner that waste it on Taylor.

No. Just no. I'd look at that Portis kid before Tyrod Taylor. Tyrod was a good college QB and that's all he'll ever be but that's nothing to be ashamed of. There are only a few guys every year who have what it takes to play QB in the league. Let's not kid ourselves. If we want a QB it's Gabbert, Mallet, or Yates

Tyrod and his offense got destroyed by Stanford.
