Pumping 700 horsepower through a Formula One-style gearbox, the new Lamborghini Aventador is not just the Italian carmaker’s most powerful model, it’s also the fastest. It's capable of launching from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.9 seconds, “equal to what you do when you go bungee jumping or skydiving,”according to the company’s CEO Stefan Winkelmann.

But don’t let that stop you from thinking about this new supercar for your daily commute, assuming you can handle the expected $380,000 price tag.

Unlike the brand’s traditional extreme machines, the Aventador — like so many Lamborghinis, named after a legendary fighting bull — is designed “for everyday use,” Winkelmann insists.

That is a crazy expensive car. It almost cost twice as much as my house.

One of those babies rolled past me in traffic in Vegas ...

I sneered & flipped the bird at him of course.

I'll bet my truck could drive up and over that $380,000 machine.
(might void my insurance policy, though)

I'd like to see the look on an agent's face if you called them and said, I just totaled a $380,000 car with my F150. I bet you could never get insurance again.

Sweet, but no matter how much $$$ you have, unless you're gonna show or race it, it's an over-indulgence - or an overcompensation for a genital shortcoming. (my wealthiest friend who's got a couple of hundred mil is perfectly happy with his Targa and new Audi 8 (having traded in an M5 he picked up in Germany).

Hardly, I'm just another hard working guy who, like most everyone has had his ups and downs, with a best friend dating back to childhood who ironically did very poorly throughout all his schooling until he took a class on something he liked in college, determined he enjoyed and was quite good at it and parlayed it into a rewarding high profile specialized-finance related career (where all the $$$ is) on wall street.

If I had that much money, I think I would rather buy something like this instead of a car.

Damn, I'm a hard working American to, but if I had a millionaire friend I wouldve already been with him in his company somewhere.

Wevie that's a nice house but if I became rich I would keep the house I'm in now.
