Letís take a look at arguably the top six offensive guards in this yearís draft ó Mike Pouncey (Florida), Benjamin Ijalana (Villanova), Danny Watkins (Baylor), John Moffitt (Wisconsin), Clint Boling (Georgia), and Will Rackley (Lehigh). Now, before we go any further, first let me say that I did not include Rodney Hudson (Florida State) and Steve Wisniewski (Penn State). These players did play guard in college, but are widely projected to play center in the NFL.

I'm a big fan of Moffit and the fact that he's played the two positions we need help at the most only makes him a more sensible pick. If he's there in the 3rd it would be tough to look past him, it also depends on who else is there but I think he would fill a need. Wisconsin also has a strong history of solid O-lineman in the NFL.

ehhh...i'm on the fence with moffitt...don't like him at all at center...to me he's more a 4th round guy

Castonzo is being projected by some as a guard, though most have him as an LT.

Even better. I'd definitely take him in the 4th.

do you think Ijalana could potentially play OT in the NFL? he's fairley athletic IMO. not on the level of Nate Solder or Tyron Smith, but he isn't an immobile object. has pretty long arms, too.

to me ijalana projects more as a tackle anyways...i don't have him listed under guard

i think rackley projects more inside and ijalana more outside

With Garner and Jerry coming back off injuries to complete for OG, I am waayyyyy more concerned with everyone slating Incrapito in as our starting Center. I've been saying it for months. If Ritchie starts at center for us we are in a world of hurt. Well at least our QB and RB, LOL.
