Maybe trading our first for a 2nd this year and a first next year. I'd like to add a QB just as much as everybody else but if Ireland could somehow acquire an extra 1st in the 2012 draft it might be enough to trade up to #1 next year and draft you know who.

Call AL Davis now.

I'd think we'd probably have to trade our first back to the mid or later second round or so to get one. Essentially our first pick this year would be somewhere in the 50's.

i don't think anyone would give up that #1 pick next year. not with Andrew Luck coming out

Who is going to suck next year? The Bengals? Let's trade 'em up, lol!

It seems to be that draft trade value says you can trade this year's 2nd for a next year's 1st. Somehow Ireland should make this happen. Would be nice to have enough ammo to make an offer

Some people will say keeping the current status quo is a recipe for a high pick
the defense is too good to let that happen..

If you trade for future draft picks it is "at your own risk". If for whatever reason there isn't a draft because of the lock out, or for whatever reason you are **** out of luck.

I can't see a scenario where there is now draft next year, but I think some teams might be weary of acquiring future picks this year.
