I know i will probably get lit up for asking...but why is he not a prospect anyone is talking about for fins in later rounds? Highest score on Wonderlic @ 43, and a quarterback who wins. Dont think he has a very big arm but is pretty accurate..

I actually do think he has some ability and wouldn't mind him in the later rounds. He doesn't have a heck of a lot of physical ability, though, and that's always going to limit him. Even at Alabama -- any time the situation required him to show some physical supremacy -- getting away from someone, firing the ball between defenders -- he just didn't have it to show. He also has a little bit of a tendency to melt down when things go wrong.
But all that said, you can't tell me Matt Flynn really has any more more physical ability than McElroy and he seems to be doing pretty well.

That's just the point. If they don't draft Mallett, they might as well go with any QB in the 7th round for depth. A game manager can be found in this draft anywhere.

I wouldn't mind him as a late round pick, but he's not a franchise QB by any stretch of the imagination.

He's an average QB that played on an awesome team. Like someone mentioned I don't remember him making many plays at all. We might as well just stick with Henne as much as that hurts.
