Appears to be the dumbest pick in his mock. I'd say King has a firm grip our on drafting talents over the last 10 years.

what worries me is that King is actually a very good reporter, he knows the difference between truth and a smokescreen.

Peter King lives in Montclair NJ, where I live. I've been seeing him around town, and now I finally have something to say to him: "Andy Dalton? Whatever you are smoking bring some over my house!"

Can you imagine what would happen if one of the posters on here posted that mock in the draft forum?

I never liked King too much but he might be right on the money on this one.

This Regime is honestly dumb enough to select Dalton in the 1st or 2nd round.

That would be worse than reaching for Ginn.

If King is right, I will be reaching for Gin.

I read Kings column on a weekly basis. Hes been high on Dalton for a few weeks and I do think he likes Dalton the most in this years QB class. He also has stated that various other teams have been giving high remarks on Dalton. So I do think there might be a little bias involved in his mock selection. That being said, I wouldn't mind drafting Dalton in the 2nd round. My first choices would be Ponder or Mallet in the later half of the 1st round, but if we get neither and obtain a 2nd round pick. I would be ok with Dalton. Much better than the Kaepernick pick some people are projecting us to make in the 2nd round.

I would literally **** a brick!

I could see this if we traded down into the late 20's, but if we stayed at 15 and took him, I'd turn off my T.V.

It would be awful, but not surprising. The Dolphins have been high on Dalton for a while now. Long enough that Parcells even met Dalton and his family, telling Dalton something to the effect that he met "the profile" except he didn't weigh quite enough, or something like that.

I just threw up in my mouth a little at the thought of this pick.

I can think of a lot worse things; however, this would not be the Dolphins choice without a significant trade down, and then only if Kap were gone.

Mallet falls out of the first round and we reach for our franchise QB. Interesting.

If Mallett and Ponder are off the board, I can see Ireland keeping his options sufficiently open to trade up somewhere into the late 2nd round to take him. No way is he gonna be our first rounder, let alone the 15th pick

If there is any QB - in the general discussion - who I'd draft after Kaepernick, it's A. Dalton.

Jesus ****ing Christ.

I find it funny that you guys panic over Dalton but think Mallet is a good choice. lol. But a few months back when I checked in, the few "gurus" on this board thought Rodney Hudson would be a low draft pick as well and not a second rounder.

They are both 2nd round QBs. I would be a lot happier to get Dalton personally. Much better character, smarter, big arm.

Personally, I think the fins may trade for a 2nd rounder, take Dalton/Kap/Ponder (whoever is there in that order) and go for Pouncey in the first.

Understand your point of view. I personally would rather have Mallett because his physical attributes translate better than Dalton's to the pro level. If smarts, character, and a winning percentage were all it took, Danny Wuerffel would be Hall Of Fame-bound.

I could throw at a ryan Leaf reference here, or a Jeff George, but I hear ya. I really value character and intelligence because it translates to the NFL. Wuerffal never had an NFL arm, but Dalton does, so it could be interesting.

Which Dalton are you referring to with the big arm? The one I saw on television playing football on Saturdays can't throw the deep out route to the NFL sideline without turning it into a pick six. I have a stronger arm than he does. Maybe you're talking about Dalton from the movie Roadhouse.

You are right. Gruden openly told him he has an NFL arm multiple times to his face while analyzing his film. but I'll go with some random internet guy's opinion who is 34 and thinks he can outthrow a guy getting drafted to the League.

lol. I did appreciate the Roadhouse reference. You can not go wrong with one of those.

Peter Kng has always been a reliable smokescreen plant for his friend Bill Parcells. I would only be worried if King had us selecting Mallet, because then I'd know we had crossed Mallet off our draft board.

I'm just sayin' what I saw when I watch him play this season. Sure the kid can throw the football, just not at the caliber that a starting franchise QB can. Gruden said alot of things to the prospects in his camp shows. He's not going to openly pan a kid's talent on national TV, hurting his ability for them to get drafted.

Oh, and my comment about me having a stronger arm was just hyberbole dude.

Perhaps he understands the retards running the FO and is basing his pick on that.
