No **** - towards the end of the day, one of my students took it upon himself to somehow sneak in a call to Domino's and order food to be delivered to after-school detention. It got intercepted when it arrived at the office. We (his teachers) bought it, & I (being on duty tonight) took it in and ate it right in front of him.

:evilmod:

We (his teachers) stood at the front of the room smiling at him & eating his pizza.

The look on the little brat's face was priceless.

I get to deal with 14-year-old eighth graders every day. 112 of them.

... C'mon Summertime!!! (6 more days with students)

That has to be a pain in the ***. At 14 most kids are still pretty immature.

And at 14, that is when kids start thinking they have seen all and know all and will not listen to sh*t.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought someone was talking about the Mr. Hands video and I shuddered and thought, "Why would anyone post this on the internet?".

That's great though. Loved that scene. That's great that you did that. I was a little **** in 8th grade too.

History would be a fun subject to teach if I were ever to teach. It's always been fascinating to me.
