Nothing that Jay-Z or KanYe will ever release can be disappointing. Period.

Even ONE song would be a special gift that we should be thankful for.

With 2 greats on one album, there should be wayy more than 12 tracks. Hell the Carter 3 was a 20 track album. That was 1 artist.

Lil Wayne. Not that difficult to write 20 songs that suck.

Greatness like this takes time and dedication. Less is more.

Id rather listen to an album with 12 really good songs then an album with 12 good songs and 8 terrible ones. Carter 3 was terrible. That wayne in was awful for a while. However, as far as career, and current. Wayne>>>>>>Kanye

Have you heard No Ceilings or I am not a Human?

believe me, I was skeptical as well. My favorite Wayne album was the original Carter. Carter II was a bit of a step down, and Carter III was straight trash. Everything he did around the carter III period of time was awful. I almost swore him off all together until I heard No Ceilings, like 6 months after everyone else because I didnt check for wayne anymore. Listen to those 2 mixtapes.

Check lyric books that come with the albums. Written by...

Dude just ins't very good. Never was. Quite possibly the most overrated rapper in the history of ever.

Read it and weep Mr. JCANE...

Jamie Foxx: Jamie Foxx: "Lil Wayne is a music god!!!!"

Busta Rhymes: "Wayne, we salute you, general. We salute you, king. We salute
you, God MC"

Bun B (talking about Wayne going to jail): "I feel bad, because I don't think
anything like this has happened in music since Elvis got drafted into the
Army"

Tech N9ne: "I just want to thank Wayne for even mentioning me. I've been
following his career since he started. Just watching him evolve--he was always
clever with the rhymes"

T.I.: "Only Lil Wayne could also be the King of the South"

Joe Budden: "Lil Wayne is dope, man. I love Wayne"

Ludacris: "I would say that Lil Wayne is the best rapper"

The Game: "Lil Wayne is just too good. He kills everybody"

Juelz Santana: "Weezy is the best rapper right now"

Fat Joe: "Lil Wayne is the best rapper on Earth. Can't nobody touch him. He's
the only dude who can put out 300 songs a year, and they all fire"

Kanye West: "Bow in the presence of a true living legend in hip-hop. Lil
Wayne the God!"

Andre 3000: " I cannot save no whole rap game. I mean, the rap game has to
save itself. Everybody's saving it. People like Lil Wayne is saving it."

Jay-Z: "I think Lil Wayne is extremely talented. I think he's one of the most
talented rappers out there."

Eminem: "I have always respected what Wayne does, and Wayne to me is
definitely one of the greatest in the game."

Nas: "I love Wayne"

KRS-One: "I told Wayne to his face, he's the dopest MC out. Wayne is NICE!
Wayne is BANANAS with his lyrics, his delivery, with his whole thing! Lil Wayne
is the MAN!"

David Banner: “Wayne is recording all the time. People look at the swag, the
hair, and the tattoos, but they never talk about his work ethic. While everyone
else is in the club trying to take advantage of their stardom or spotlight,
Wayne is in the studio, writing, and thinking of ideas. You want to know where
Wayne is right now? He’s probably recording. If I had to pick what dude is
doing, I’d put $50,000 up at just about any time of the day and say he’s
probably doing something that has to do with a mic.”

The time period from Carter 2 to No Celings . . . Wayne was untouchable. That was a hard 4 year run. Not many rappers can say they "ran the game" for 4 years. Wayne did just that.

And to the haters, if you never heard this track from Weezy, it is a remix from "Run This Town" with Jay and Yay . . . . . Wayne destroys BOTH of them. This is from No Ceilings.

Can't argue with anybody that puts Pac as the GOAT, he definitely was the rapper that has influenced the most rappers, even into today. But Jay-Z had the best career, from being a great rapper to the length of his career. He has remained consistent, and even now changed his style to be a dominate force in what is definitely a weak period in rap.

If I got 5 rappers in my top 5 right now that are living, give me:

Lil' Wayne
Jay-Z
Eminem
Ludacris
Kanye West (though my southern nature wants me to throw Jeezy or T.I. a bone)

I like Drake, I really do, but he is already starting to get boring to me. He is going to have to get more versatile with his flows to keep me interested longer. Still, in 2010, my "Song of the Year" choice was Unforgettable. Absolute classic by Drake featuring Young Jeezy. I still wake up to that **** every morning.

Carter 2 I thought was his best album . . . he wasn't silly on that album, he was serious. Didn't have the hits, but man every song was a good listen. Wayne grew up on that album.

I know too many people like you, who wrote Wayne off, I grab the computer and start playing No Ceilings (about a year later), and now they text me all the time and tell me what a beast Wayne is. Personally, I think the guy has peaked, but he is a hardworker in this game, I would never write him off.

Give a listen to "The Drought 4: The Drought is Over" . . . slept on mixtape by Wayne, all new beats.

As far as Jay and Yay . . . I'll come back to this thread ova the weekend and give my opinion, haven't gave it a great listen yet but I mess with the single. I'm sure it is a classic.
