NEW YORK, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- A New York firm said it is offering 3,200 square feet of grassy space to rent for sunbathing and barbecues for $50 an hour.

Jacqui Kavanagh, 24, the mastermind behind the scheme, said rentals of the 145 Ludlow St. "backyard time share" will begin next week, the New York Post reported Thursday.

You can't be serious. Fifty dollars to rent a yard for an hour?!? They're also offering rental equipment like:
$100 for a slip-and-slide, $150 for a barbecue grill, & $200 for a kiddie pool. :bobdole:

I would go insane within two weeks of living in NYC ... too much concrete, not enough green.

Maybe it's just me, but I find this to be asinine. :idk:

Too many people in that city.

I do love San Francisco though, that place is just the right size.

After my last trip there, I'm convinced you can get away with anything.

I love Charlotte as well. It seems the right size. Has everything, and the prices are not insane. Plus, I do like about 25 miles from the city in another town so that helps too.

Seems like a brilliant idea to me.

Bright lights, big city!

you can find green all over the city in all parts.

idk anyone who would pay money for grass and a spot to chill like that.

its not a place for everyone though...

Don't people pay $2 or $3 thousand a month just to park their car in NYC? $50 for a spot of grass seems pretty cheap if that is the case.
