 Nope, and CHECK!

We missed the 1st race completely.

The second race - just in time! (sorta)
I've never been here before, so (on a lark) I gave my buddy $6 on his way to bet. I wanted the longshot across the board. (finished 2nd) :woot: 48-1 BABY!!!

Drunk jag-off buddy bet the wrong fugging horse!!! :bobdole: ... Kicked him in the shin & demanded my $6 back.

In the third, well ... Nag is still running. :(

Skipped the fourth.

Got a line on another promising longshot in the 5th ... We'll see. *fingers crossed* 2 mins. to post.

 Thats how you win money. I don't bet 'em to win ... I bet 'em across the board.

The seventh blows worse than Henne. None of the longer shots have a history of doing anything. :(
(on second thought - they blow as bad as Henne. ... Crap, I just made myself sad)

I'm sitting this one out.

Ahhh ... finally, the eighth - the eighth race - The 42nd WV Derby.

I went with the sole local horse. #7 <insert schmuck jokes here>

... Currently at 25-1 (the longest shot in the field, go figure )

C'mon #7!!!

actually you wheel trifectas.. if you wanna make big money (friend's a handicapper who used to take calls for a bookie.. who reads the racing form every morning for about 20 years and kind of earns a living at this.... Yankee fan who won't argue if you tell him that Willie Mays was better than Mickey Mantle, but try to tell him that Secretariat was better than Dr Fager and he goes ballistic).

How did you do Bumpus? Were you being a nit again bro?

You seriously need to bring your *** down here sometime and gamble with me. There has been some juicy action lately. We have a nice set of tourneys goin now on 2 Sundays a month too. I keep getting to the end of these mother ****ers and either getting coolered or **** it all up. 3 times in a row Ive bested a large portion of the field and come up empty handed. The last two times my ******* made the same ****ing mistake. I can promise it will not happen again. I would start to feel like the phins not drafting a QB when we have an early first round pick.

Anyways, next Sunday is the 10k guarenteed to first place. We have usually been getting a couple of hundred players in those. But last month, they started a 20K guarenteed for first place. That **** got so big, they turned people away. It got over 400 some players and 120 or so had to be alternates. I think it was like 450 total and they started turning people away. They had enough tables, but not enough dealers. Had to start with 320 players and fill alternates in as people busted.

I made it down to the last 6 tables. I go all in with ace rag suited on the SB when everyone folded around. Of course BB is holding AK and insta calls. No need for that play on my part. I had a good chip count. Senseless. Made the same mistake and busted out 20th in the 10K a couple of weeks previous to that.

Anyway, come down for the 20K. Its the last Sunday in August. Only $235 to play. Last time we got enough money in that first prize spilled over 20k. It was like 22,500. I thought it might have wound up being top heavy and almost forcing a chop because of that, but it wasnt. Second was like a solid 15k or something.

Motel 6 right by the casino is only $50. Hell, you could drive down Sunday morning. Its only 2.5 hours for ya. Then after you and I chop all the money, you could get a room at the casino and we could call Vaark's mom for a hellacious party.

The one at the end of this month will be the last one I play till football season is over. They need to move those ****s to Saturdays or something ya know. No way am I going to play when the phins are on.

Damn, I merely commented that your old lady ****s just about the way she looks. Figures you would perceive that negatively and make it personal :idk: What a surpise

Oh and incidentally, my mom is dead, but she woudn't be caught even in THAT condition anywhere near the ****hole you live.

Next Sunday might happen. At month's end, not so much (school will be back in - I don't let gambling interfere with work)

I'm assuming you're talking about Mardi Gras casino in Nitro, correct?

What's the buy-in for next week? How early/late would you recommend registering to avoid being an alternate (or is that just for the 20K)

Next weeks buy in is $150 I believe. We havent had a problem with too many people registering for the 10k's since the first couple of ones. You should be able to get there before it starts and get registered without having to worry about being an alternate. There are usually only around 200 players, sometimes 250. If you want, you can buy in online. Let me know if you are going to play. If you come down a couple of hours early, Sunday Brunch buffet is on me. I like to fill my stomach enough so that I dont worry about getting hungry during the tournament, you know, cause I know Im lasting till the end and will be playing late in the evening.
