He's such a 'tard. I think that one lucky year with STL has gone to his head....any HC in the league could've won with that team.

He also had a Super Bowl Win w/ Philly. The guy cries more than a woman PMSing but he seems like a real genuine nice guy.

Quacky but nice.

Boy you guys bought in so much into that Vermeil propaganda that you all were convinced that he had won before........Nope, he was a loser until he got the best offense in the history of the game with the rams.....and still almost lost that one.......

Hear hear. I think he's a nice guy, but we all know what nice guys generally get as HC in the NFL.

He and I are from basically the same home town and I hear about his life often. He's generally a well-liked member of the Northern California/Napa Valley community, and a family man.

I've just never feared him as a coach from a fan's perspective with a team playing against him.

Nick Saban - MEAN! You just look at that guy and think "WIN"

You are right 126 he did lose to the Raiders in 1980.
Just think of the flood that you would have had if he did huh?

His defensive coordinator, Greg Robinson, just resigned. That saves him from having to fire his butt.

He is crying because Robinson thought he won the Super Bowl back in 1980 also :boohoo:

He's probably crying because Robinson cost him the Super Bowl. All they needed was 2 punts all game.

29, WHAT I FOUND TO BE TOTALLY ODD ABOUT THE DC BEING CANNED, VERMIEL CONSULTED WITH HIS WIFE BEFORE MAKING THE DECISION TO LET HIM GO.
I KID YOU NOT, THATS WHAT I READ ON THE WIRE SERVICES THIS MORNING.
I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THAT IN ALL MY TIME FOLLOWING THE NFL.

HAVE YOU?

Vermiel helped mold that St. Louis team, dont tell me that anyone couldve won with that talent, St. Louis wasnt even on the map before that 1999 Season....Coaching has to be credited somewhere...

Coaching was a part of it sure...but I certainly don't think he deserves anywhere CLOSE to the majority of the credit you see a lot of SB winning coaches get (i.e. Bilichick).
