View Full Version : What if Ross turned to Bellichick and offered him double?

Given the relationship between Bellichick and Robert Kraft, it is unlikely that he would consider going elsewhere. But a self-made billionaire like Ross is used to getting whatever and whoever he wants. It may sound crazy but what if he offered double to one of the top coaches? Tomlin? John Harbaugh?

If they are under contract it's tampering. We'd deserve whatever we got.

I don't post much but... LOL!!!!

Why in the heck would BB, who is set financially, leave Tom Brady and the Pats for unknown QB and the Phins?? Might as well go back to Cleveland lol

Belichick is trash. For a guy who's supposed to be this defensive genius, his defenses has been abysmal for years. His offense simply outscores everyone they play. If Sparano had a QB, we would've been in the playoffs this year, and we wouldn't even be having this conversation.

It would cost us some draft picks for tampering with other coaches. Just hire Gruden.

Yeah, from people who make FAR LESS than secondary coaches in the NFL. With the money coaches make in today's NFL, he's on a more level playing field. Ross didn't get Jim Harbaugh last season did he? Think the 49ers could pay Harbaugh more than Ross could or would? Probably not. So other things become a factor. Things like location...and that's why Jim went to San Francisco and not Miami. Harbaugh is a West Coast guy. Harbaugh would have gone back to Stanford before he came here but he WANTED the San Francisco job. Money was a factor, but it wasn't primarily what Harbaugh was concerned with.

So Belichick whose legacy as a great head coach is cemented, is really gonna leave a great organization, a great owner, great fans, great stadium and his GREAT Tom Brady to come to Miami that has a lousy owner, lousy stadium, lousy fans and even more lousy Quarterback(s)...all for a bigger paycheck.

Me thinks not.

If somehow BB was to come to Miami... I guarantee his heart would not be in it..
