Jets would bring back Moore as passing coordinator with Soprano as run game manager.Moore is the wildcard here because he is really really close with Manning apparantly.

I actually took the time to email Manish yesterday at the NY Daily News, and he was kind enough to reply to me. His first response was that he isn't a Jet's fan. :chuckle: But then he felt the Jets were among three teams (the Cardinals and Phins being the other) that Peyton is most interested in. He didn't say how he knew this.

Moore isnt even with Jets anymore. He was a consultant last year. Mort said Dolphins are team to beat. He said if Houston wanted him then he would go there. Mort is close to the Manning family.

If he goes to Miami, then he will have to play in NY, NE and Buff. Arizona offers a schedule of San Fran, Seattle and St. Louis, and a dome.

Peyton Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1493/peyton-manning) - QB - Colts (http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nfl/ind/colts)

According to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel, free agent Peyton Manning has whittled the list of 12 interested teams "down to a couple," including the Dolphins.

The Dolphins hope to meet with Manning over the next few days to examine his medical history. They're not alone. NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora reports several teams want to see Manning throw, but have received no feedback as to whether he plans to hold a workout or visit teams. The events of the weekend will be telling, as the Dolphins need an answer by March 13 and the Cardinals by March 17.

Always thought Manning to Miami is a fantasy. Something tells me that playing in the shadow of Dan Marino does not intrigue Manning. No QB likes to be thought of the 2nd best ever to play for a team (especially one with such a resume) and if Manning comes to Miami and falls short of a Super Bowl win, that's exactly what he would be- the 2nd best QB ever to wear a Phins uniform.

i'm hoping he's humble enough to understand this stage of his career and that no Miamian could ever hold any QB with more love in their hearts than Dan Marino. If Manning came to Miami and won 2 back to back Super Bowls, would you love him more than Marino? I couldn't. I have father/son memories with Marino no one could ever replace. That, to me, is where the true beauty of this beastily game lies.

Good info. On the NFL Network they said that they couldn't see Manning flying around to all of these cities and putting on a passing demonstration for GM's, owners and coaches. I also can't see Manning holding a "pro day" in Miami and inviting these "12 interested team"s in coming to take a look. Did Luck or RG3 throw for anyone? NO. I know Manning's case is different because of his neck procedures, but I doubt he gives anyone a throwing demonstration.

Very true, but he would still have to play Brady twice a year and the Pats still own this division for another couple of years.

I would think the opposite. AFC, no state taxes, close to home, an owner that will spend more, South Beach and a better team.

Not saying that, he would be a great fit there, i just think that he would prefer Arizona. This entire board thinks just because he owns a condo in Miami thats why he is going to sign there.

With Manning, Arizona could knock off the 9ers, look how many FA players would want to go there. A restructure here and there and Arizona is deadly.

Peyton Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1493/peyton-manning) - QB - Colts (http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nfl/ind/colts)

ESPN's Chris Mortensen estimated to radio station Arizona Sports 620 that free agent Peyton Manning (neck surgeries) is "85-90 percent healthy."

Mort suspects Manning will make a final decision "within three to four days." He also confirms the Broncos are a more serious candidate than commonly believed while suggesting Houston could top the list if they were interested (not happening). Despite speculation to the contrary, Mortensen insists Manning will not go to the "highest financial bidder," placing football priorities first.

Peyton Manning (http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/1493/peyton-manning) - QB - Colts (http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nfl/ind/colts)

ESPN's Adam Schefter confirms free agent Peyton Manning is "open to playing in the NFC," despite a preference for the AFC.

It's another positive sign for Arizona and perhaps Seattle. Schefter also confirms that Manning's camp is "aiming to make a decision within the next week" on a landing spot. CBSSports.com's Pat Kirwin insists there's "no way" Manning will allow medical personnel to examine his arm, which would leave teams to potentially damage his market value. In fact, says Kirwin, a workout in front of teams may be avoided "if a top bidding team says they don't care about the session, which I suspect will be the case."

Eh, there defense isn't that bad, just a notch below us really. There run game is pretty good too with beanie and williams. We may have a couple more better players here and there, but realistically there right on par with us as far as talent fellas. It's just comes down to preference. We play in AFC, they play in NFC. the manning are a close knit family and they are all on the east coast. i cant see them traveling back and forth from home to arz to ny and back and so forth. at some point travel logistics have to be factored into his decision. we are not talking about a guy who is searching for the big contract. he is looking for the best situation that gets him success and meets his families needs.

Arizona is not as a good of a situation as you would make it out to be Bleedin.

Having the horror of seeing almost all their games this past year, the Cardinals are not very good, or very close to a Super Bowl run.

Their OL was just as bad as ours this past year and their LOT Levi Brown will be released soon.

The Cardinals opponents win percentage was .469 and was one of the weakest in the league (Miami had a .504 opponent win percentage).

They won a lot of games on comeback wins late in the 4th quarter, similar to our 2008 run.

If you ask me, without Manning the Cardinals would be lucky to win 5 games next year.

With Manning they're a wild card team, with a first or second round exit.

Miami is a much better situation from a player's view point.
