ATLANTA (AP) – It's almost unimaginable. No one picked the six correct numbers in the latest multi-state Mega Millions (http://content.usatoday.com/topics/topic/Mega+Millions) lottery game, sending the jackpot to a record $476 million for the Friday drawing.

I guess the obvious question is, if you won such a huge jackpot what would YOU do with that hunk of change? :ponder:

Me, I'd probably buy my parents a nice house, help pay off family bills, donate some, and do some travelling around the world...just to name a few. Oh, and season tickets to my favorite sports teams, no matter how good or bad they might be! :D

Tell all y'all to go piss in a hat (literally) then put 10k in the hat and let whoever wore the hat for 8 hours have the money.

It always amuses me the reasons why some people play the lottery at certain times. Since its so high there's going to be a huge influx of participants. Theyll play because the jackpot is in the hundreds of millions but they can't waste their time if the jackpot is only a mere 20 million. Lol

If your gonna play it for 400 million, why wouldn't you play in for 10 million. I don't play the lottery but I never understood that mindset

First major purchase would be a beachfront home either in Malibu or down in La Jolla.

I lived in la jolla for two years. One of the most beautiful places you can live. And that's anywhere

To be fair ...

I've always considered the Lottery to be a tax on the stupid.

But for $476,000,000.00 ...

Drr...

Pay off my moms house and bills, give my family money, pay off my place and bills, open up a sports bar, save money, donate money, my sons college fund, travel....man it would be so nice.

I would first help out my parents...get them whatever they want and set up some fund so they get a huge check every month. Then help out my brothers, niece, nephews, my favorite Aunt, take care of some good friends who have always been there with me through the good and bad. I would make some donations to medical research places, children's hospitals, animal rights/shelters, and then go on a long around the world cruise and think of how best to use the money. I think after taxes you will still have around $350+ million if you take the cash payment up front. I'd get a nice suite at Sun Life stadium and fly in for the games.

Because at 20 million you arent getting appropriate odds on your dollar. Simple as that.

Lottery...... a tax on people who cant do math.
