Didn't hear about it until now that they met with him 3 weeks ago. Would be a pretty darn good Tight End prospect.

This guy would be my pick if we end up trading back to the 15-20 range of the first round.

Fleener would be an immediate upgrade over Fasano

In terms of speed and ability to stretch the field, yes. But he can't block anywhere near as well as Fasano.

Fasano gets beat up on here, but he's not that bad. He was a solid receiver last year and helps a lot in the run game as well. If Charles Clay can step up we'll be ok at tight end.....which is good b/c i don't think any besides Fleener and Allen are worth anything in the draft (and i think both are gone by the time we draft in the 2nd).

Fleener is a great TE but we just have too many holes to get Luxury picks right now.

You don't pass up a TE like Fleener for decent or "not that bad."

They're conducting private workouts with other Tight Ends, too.

I don't see how a TE who is a dominant receiver is any more of a luxury than a dominant WR.

In other words, I don't see Fleener as a luxury pick anymore than I do Blackmon or Floyd.

Fleener, LaDarius Green, or M. Egnew of Mizzou would all be nice...I kind of like Green of the Rajun Cajuns. I think Fleener will go in Round Two, and I think we take a WR in this round, and go after a TE in Round three with one of our two back-to-back picks.

I would rather have Fleener than Floyd.

I would love to get Fleener, but I see us going with a QB in R1 and a WR in R2. Maybe we go with Ladarius Green or DeAngelo Peterson in the 3rd or 4th round.

Yes. I know the identity of all 30 of their private visits.

In a sense, I think after Blackmon and Floyd he's the biggest impact guy for the passing game. Doesn't really matter that he's a tight end because he's a huge mismatch and would seem like a perfect fit for what Philibin likes to do.
