NFL Draft tracker — Running list of prospects that will be checked out by Miami Dolphins by Ben Volin The Dolphins are still hosting free agent visits – Rocky McIntosh and Tyrell Johnson were the latest on Monday (http://www.palmbeachpost.com/sports/dolphins/free-agents-tyrell-johnson-and-rocky-mcintosh-visit-2279319.html) – but now that the calendar has turned to April, the free agency period is winding down and the NFL Draft season is heating up.
Over the next three weeks, you’ll read a lot about players the Dolphins are checking out. They can bring 30 players to the team facility in Davie for an interview (but not a workout). Jeff Ireland and his scouts have also been flying all over the country to check out pro days and private workouts.
Some of the visits and workouts get reported, though many remain quiet. And just because the Dolphins check out a player doesn’t mean they like him. Sometimes, the Dolphins interview/scout a player just to pump some information from him or see what type of player they will be going against this fall.
Naturally, the Dolphins will be thoroughly inspecting the top prospects that could be taken with the eighth pick – pass rushers Quinton Coples and Melvin Ingram and quarterback Ryan Tannehill are already on the docket. But the Dolphins will do plenty of diligence on the late-round picks, as well.
Here is a list of all the players the Dolphins have already checked out or plan to check out, as reported by the Post and other media outlets. We’ll periodically update it over the next three weeks:
Palm Beach Post

* Texas A&M QB Ryan Tannehill – Jeff Ireland and Joe Philbin personally attended his Pro Day last week, then took him out for dinner and spent time with him in the classroom.
* Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler – Same as Tannehill.
* Albion CB Chris Greenwood – Division III standout recently worked out for a Dolphins scout on campus. Late-round pick has good size for a corner (6-1, 193).
Attending Local Prospect Day – April 5
* Pitt RB Zach Brown, formerly of Royal Palm Beach High
* App State RB Travaris Cadet, formerly of Miami-Central High
Aaron Wilson, Scout.com

* South Carolina DE Melvin Ingram – Potential top-10 pick recently conducted private workouts for the Dolphins and Falcons.
* Iowa State OL Kelechi Osemele – Recently visited Miami, Detroit, Atlanta (no workout). Played left tackle and guard, earned All-Big 12 honors and is potential second round pick.
* UNC DE Quinton Coples – Potential top-10 pick will visit the Dolphins.
* Montana CB Trumaine Johnson – Dolphins have had success at Montana (Dan Carpenter, Jimmy Wilson, Lex Hilliard), and Johnson could be next. Potential second- or third-round pick.
* Cincinnati TE Adrien Robinson – A low-round H-back prospect, Robinson is scheduled to visit at least a dozen teams.
Tony Pauline, Sports Illustrated

* Rutgers OL Desmond Wynn – Had a visit with the Dolphins.
* Iowa State WR Darius Reynolds – Worked out for Dolphins and Patriots.
Matt Miller, @NFLDraftScout

* LSU DL Michael Brockers – Met with Dolphins in Baton Rouge
Pro Football Talk

* Miami C Tyler Horn – Late-round prospect likely to participate in Local Prospect Day.
Barry Jackson, Miami Herald

* West Virginia DE/OLB Bruce Irvin – Dolphins are one of at least eight teams he is visiting.
* Ole Miss OT Bobby Massie – Potential second-round pick is scheduled to visit the Dolphins.
* Miami (Ohio) OL Brandon Brooks – Projected as a mid-round pick, is scheduled to visit the Dolphins.
* Nebraska De Lavonte David (Miami-Northwestern) – Likely attending Local Prospect Day.
* Virginia Tech CB Jayron Hosley (Delray Beach-Atlantic) – Potential second-round pick.
* Wisconsin DB Antonio Fenelus (Boca Raton) – Likely attending Local

I have no issues with Ingram and would take him over Coples.....but if we are going to go defense, I would try to trade down.

Ingram is the next James Harrison.... Ingarm > Coples.......played much better ball against tougher competition

Hes a 10+ sack guy a year........Finds the ball and makes big plays......Draft BPA....and honestly that may be him when were on the clock.

Fills our last glaring need on D and creates a dirty pass rushing combo in Ingram and Wake.......

After all...stellar pass rush is the key to stopping NE.

BTW if you uncertain ab Ingram throw that Auburn tape on...........
