What cancelled TV series have you watched that you enjoyed? I am looking to buy a series and enjoy it on my own time. I want to by the complete series, so they can't make the show anymore. Plus I find the complete series a little cheaper than buying season by season. Any suggestions?

I really liked:

But I need to replace it with another series. Any suggestions? Lesser known series?

PS: I hate NCIS, Law and order, CSI etc.

I really loved Scrubs and Arrested Development. I also liked Pushing Daisies, but that is more of a niche TV show...

Scrubs is one of my all time favs ...... so witty.

I have never seen Arrested Development or Pushing Daisies. That Daisies one sounds pretty good on Wiki.

I have seen the adds for Entourage but never saw the show, and come to think of it it did look pretty good. Maybe I will try that one in the near future.

The original Degrassi was very well done. Well before it's time. But brace yourself and sit down, because I have some bad news .......

The first season of Heroes might be one of the great seasons of any show in the history of TV. Season 2 isn't bad either, but the show pretty much dies after that. The writer's strike pretty much killed the show...

I'd highly recommend it. I always got told by a bunch of mates how much I was missing out by not watching it, and when I finally got round to it I could see they were right. Entourage is high in comedy and drama, probably the best series I've seen.

My thoughts on Heroes exactly. Season one is brilliant but it goes downhill so fast that I stopped watching halfway through the third season. Avoid it.

The Unit was a show I really liked. Also Band of Brothers and The Pacific. And of course The Sopranos.

Breaking Bad is going into it's final season. The fourth season should be on DVD soon and the last one will be on by the time you're that far hopefully.

Breaking Bad is the best currently running TV show right now. Mad Men and Boardwalk Empire are great too.

As for shows that have ended, my favorites are The Sopranos, Frasier, Arrested Development (although they're actually bringing this one back soon), The Wire, The Drew Carey Show, Reno 911, and some others I'm probably forgetting.
