When are people going to stop throwing labels on people, and accusing them of being Communists, when it actually has no basis in reality?

If the Democratic Party is now the Communist Party, what does that make the GOP? The Pinochet Party? The Fascist Fun-guys?

It was only a matter of time, really. The Republican nomination has been all but decided, so the retard convention has to move from fighting with each other to throwing moon pies at the other side now. This was a pretty mild start, all things considered...

Politicals labels designed to keep the illusion of choice.

In before people start talking about how Obama really is a socialist!

edit in: thank you Allen West, for continuing to show that Florida is the most disfunctional state in America. Arizona had been closing the gap, but thankfully Allen West stepped up. Its ALWAYS Florida. :bobdole:

The only difference between Communism and Fascism is semantics. There is also no difference between the two parties other than semantics.

The spectre of communism is something that gets tossed out to scare people into voting one way or another. What no one seems to realize is that we won't ever be what they throw out because we're already where they want us, which is a fascist oligarchy.

Plus, true communism has never existed. Anytime it was attempted, the government just took over. The problem with communism and socialism is it requires people to be something they are not: unselfish and mindful of others. I guess it's the academic in me, but it's always frustrating seeing people throwing those terms around when they don't really understand what they are...

Is it any worse than "the war on women" or "warren buffets secretary pays less taxes". Both sides suck.

You need the idealistic parts to convince people to go with the plan, but no one ever intended to give up the power.

Even if it is true, I find it more controversial that 435 members of the House of Representatives are members of the Democratic and Republican parties. Why isn't anyone talking about those unsavory connections?

The word is a bad fit.

The Democrats should be named the "blank check toga party."

The nature of our political system. Everyone is indoctrinated to think that if you aren't one of the two then you're unelectable.

Not completely sure why, but I found this hilarious. Definitely applies to both parties, though.

Unfortunately, there are only two parties that can actually win an election. I hope the day will come when that is not true.
