I would be so happy if Fleener falls to us in at the 10th pick in the 2nd round..

any chance we take him? He is a huge target at 6'6 height, physical, athletic, fast.... really good hands... TOUCHDOWN MACHINE! Tannehill to Fleener would be an amazing combo, both rookies and grow together for us. We need a PLAY MAKING TE.

Any shot we take him? We need more offensive weapons.

It depends. Can we land a good pass rusher at 42? They may need to get one now. The draft is full of offensive talent, but there aren't a lot of great pass rushers left.

He's might not be a down seam TE and is very poor in blocking. harbaugh couldn't coach him up to block better when he has gotten the most talent out of SF roster. I'll pass on fleener

If Upshaw is still there I think they'll go for him instead. Would be thrilled to land Fleener though.

I want him, But indy will pair him with his boy Luck

Id like adding him. I think we need to package up the 3rd-5th rd picks that we have and try and get a few 2nd rd picks allowing us to grab some quality talent.

Wait, Johnathan Martin is still there. Why haven't we jumped on that?

I think we would but damn we have so many good options, players I didnt expect to fall fell. So this is great!

I don't see him getting past STL or IND but if he somehow does we should be all in on him.

We could go Hill or Randle at WR
Martin or Glenn on the OL
Curry or Branch/ Upshaw DE/OLB
Jenkins at CB anyone?

I dont even know who i want. ofcourse i want a perimeter WR. We may be in position to get one. But we also need a RT, especially with the way NE and NY are drafting pass rushers. BUT we could also take a pass rusher of our own to help take attention off of Wake. I am TOOOO excited for rd 2 and 3.
many ways to upgrade at our biggest positions of need.

I would rather have Hill

I'm excited there's still plenty of talent left for us when we do pick in the 2nd, we just need to decide what hole to fill on the roster

If he's still there then I would take him in a heart beat. If not then DE or 2nd tier WR like Sanu.

I think that Fleener goes to Rams. They need badly weapons for Bradford.

I doubt it. They just took Lance Kendricks in the 2nd round last year and he was playing well until he got hurt. I can see Hill or Randle, certainly. Or an offensive lineman. TE I don't see.

if he is there you run the card up to the podium and say peace out. we aren't competing this year fellas, if a talent like that falls to you, you grab him. we need offensive weapons for this "tannehill era" and what we have in stock isn't gonna cut it.

Fleener is a great fit for almost every team ahead of us in the 2nd. It'd be amazing if he slipped, but if he did I'd like to think we'd pull the trigger. As much as I like Hill, Fleener is more of a certainty/

Fleener blocks like a WR instead of TE. Lack YAC ability since he goes down too easily upon contact. He probably doesn't make it to 42. Again I'll pass

Fleener averages 20 yards per RECEPTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He is good at YAC. What the hell are you smoking?

If you want a perfect complete TE, he would be taken in the top 10 in the 1st round. Fleener has amazing hands and physical ability and comes from a good offensive system @ Stanford.......You gotta be kidding me.....

I don't think you understand what a physical specimen this Fleener kid is....... and he has GREAT hands to catch the ball.. at 6'6.......anything you throw near him is a possible catch...

Andrew Luck depended on him @ Stanford........ come on guys......

Dwayne Allen from Clemson > Fleener.

Dwayne Allen from Clemson > Fleener.

Got to agree with this one. Fleener is a freak of nature, but Allen is just as good of a pass catcher and more well rounded.

copycat league.fleener will b long gone before we draft at 10.

Just be happy cause it will be a playmaker. I doubt is an OG although There may be a good starting OG available when we pick that fills up a big hole too.

To answer the thread title question ...

No. Even if Coby Fleener is available when we pick at #42, we will not take him.

Just my opinion.

I see us passing on fleener as well, although I'd jump at the chance to take him at 42.

I like fleener, and if not fleener, the best edge rusher available. if by some slim chance both are gone, than I want to fill the OL need, and focus on a WR with one of the 3rd round picks.

I can see them taking WR/DE with the next pick, but I want Fleener BADLY. I've been saying that ever since watching Luck throw to him last season. He's a beast. I'd also be happy with them trading the pick for a 1st next year. We're building for the future guys. Ireland & Co. know that.

They're going to be picking early for a couple more years yet. Who do they have on defense? Now they got Fleener and Wayne as receivers...so what.

Colts on doubling down on TEs this year. Fleener and now Dwayne Allen. Seems like they're heading in the right direction in rebuilding their team.
