This is a carryover from the Avengers trailer thread. I can't stand camcorder rip-offs, and it has nothing to do with morals (especially not from me). I just can't stand ****ty quality movies, TV shows, etc. My wife accidentally recorded the SD Mad Men last week. I couldn't watch it. It was like watching a movie through a foggy window. I only watch Blu-ray (when possible), because what's the point of having a badass TV (though it doesn't match JCane's new one) if I'm going to be watching **** on it? It's like driving a Ferrari around Buffalo, a waste.

My future brother-in-law (unfortunately) will only watch ripped-off movies and it's only because he's super cheap. Guarantee he only sees the ridiculously awesome movies this summer on his TV with Asian subtitles and people laughing in the recording (doesn't download his, gets them from Chinatown in Toronto).

I do agree, despite my statement in the other thread. If I am going to "barrow" a movie that is still in theaters, I too prefer the beat quality. I usually get movies from an online source if it is a movie that I don't think is worth the money or if it is a movie I already saw in the theaters.

That being said, you can download blu-ray quality movies online if you look hard enough. But I personally don't care for blu-ray unless it is used for a video game. I still maintain the belief that a normal DVD can look just as good as a blu-ray if everything is hooked up properly. But that is just me.

Sent from my Galaxy NexusI'm mostly talking about movies still in the theater. It's definitely possible to find good quality copies afterwards.

Then yeah, it depends on the movie if I go see it in the theaters. I actually have a good copy of the newest Underworld movie from when it was still out in theaters. The 3D scenes are painfully obvious though. LOL!

This is the problem I have with the UFC. I can't afford 60$ every time they have a UFC, but I also really ****ing hate the bootleg ****ty versions of the fights that end up online.

Some movies are meant to be seen in theaters (Avengers)...Others must be downloaded.

Cam quality is getting better though...

It depends. If it's a very special effects heavy movie (Lord of the Rings, Thor, etc.) blu-ray is definitely better. If not, I completely agree.
