Bravo Romney. Smart move.
The PAC's can do the dirty without his endorsement.

Everyone knows it's there. This is just a little reminder, while not reminding people.
If people didn't listen to his affiliation to this ****head the first time, they aren't going to listen now.
The point is, this is not news.

Good for Romney. This might be the first smart move I've seen come from the Republicans so far this election season. Attack ads are getting old fast, and I'm betting they are starting to have the opposite effect than they are intended, especially on the generally better-educated Independents. I have a feeling he is following in Obama's steps here. If you guys don't know what I'm talking about, here is a link to the Obama administration's response to an attack ad. This was about 2 weeks ago.
The response it received has been overwhelmingly positive. It would only make sense for Romney to do the same thing. Kudos to both candidates. We're all tired of the venom being spewed in politics. Treating us like the intelligent individuals we actually are is very welcome...

Republicans will never win trying to attack Obama's character. Their only hope is attacking policy.
Obama has about the cleanest character that any President in recent memory has ever had. A family man, a nice guy by all accounts, treats others fairly and kindly, no history of infidelity, no alcoholism or addiction. The closest anyone can get is him smoking a doobie in his youth. If he had any skeletons, they'd be out by now. So going after Obama's character will really wear thin with the general public.
People can contend that Obama has a horrible philosophy and policy all day long, but it will be hard for them to contend that Obama is a bad guy.
