Better than telling them that sex is non-existent in this world. And to fight the natural urges that overcome a person during and following puberty. Abstinence-only sex education DOES NOT work.

This may be my prudishness showing, but I feel like maybe fifth grade is a little too early to learn that stuff. Especially for the education system to take it upon themselves to teach it.

Totally agree. Middle school seems more fit. As long as kids know about condoms and birth control before high school.
