There's a lot of garbage on tv, so I'm very selective when it comes to what I watch. 24 is my favorite show of all time, but Breaking Bad might end up topping that imho. That's high praise considering the other shows I watch:

Boardwalk Empire
Mad Men
Dexter
Weeds
Nurse Jackie
Californication

I'm so pumped for Season 5 starting July 15! I know I can't be the only Breaking Bad/Dolfan nut on here.

The executive producer Vince Gilligan said his plan from the beginning was to show Walt's gradual transition from Mr. Chips (a character that was conservative, timid, shy, etc) into Scarface.

Here's a trailer that gives a brief synopsis for those of you poor souls who have no idea what this show is about :)

PM me if you missed out and feel like catching up. I can walk you through the process.

And here's the trailers for season 5:

How does everyone think this ends? Does Walt die? Does Jesse find out about what Walt did to Jane? Or Brock? Does Hank finally catch Walt? A lot of loose ends...this season is gonna be amazing!

Trust me, there are others (AM Crew) that are insane about the show.

Easily the best show on TV. One of my faves.

I'm thinking Walt goes down in Epic fashion. That would be the best way to end the series.

Season 5 will be 16 episodes and I believe they will spread those 16 over two summers.

Great show! Love it.

After that opening scene (Thats set well into the future), Im thinking 3 things:

1. The cancer is back at that point. Walt is coughing, popping pills and has apparently given up on chemo.

2. He knows his time is nearly up and is ready to go down in a blaze of glory. He presumably needs that assault rifle to **** up some Chilean Cartel goons that are no doubt gonna be on his ass. Or maybe he just wants to get revenge on some mofo's before he kicks the bucket.

3. He used Saul's contact to get a new identity.

I was wondering if that disappear guy would come into play. I'm glad they brought back the illegal gun dealer though. I like that guy. And the junkyard guy.

They should sticky this.

Best show ever.

Season 5 isn't starting out with the bang that Season 4 did, but it's still excellent - just has a lot more to set up, with the necessity for a new plot line and all.

PS: Mike is still the ultimate badass.

Season 5 has been amazing to this point. The last three episodes have been spectacular. Three of their best.

Disagree. I think season 5 is the weakest one so far. Last nights episode was the best one so far but as a whole 1-4 were better than 5 as of yet.

Not sure how I feel about Mike getting got. I knew it eventually had to happen, but I was dreading the episode. He was such a badass.

I'm sad Mike is gone. He was the ultimate professional criminal. At this point I think it's inevitable that Walter and Jesse will become permanent enemies. Jesse will not be happy over what just happened to Mike and Saul may spill the beans over what really happened to Brock last season. Todd looks like he will be replacing Jesse in Walter's new entourage. Jesse might go to the Arizona guys out of vengeance. Will see.

By the way, next week's episode will be bloody.

Damn this season has been great so far.

It doesn't have the shocking elements that season 1-4 had, but it is intense non-stop because of the DEA and Mike's beef with Walter.

Next week's episode should be even more intense.

Disagree. I think season 5 is the weakest one so far. Last nights episode was the best one so far but as a whole 1-4 were better than 5 as of yet.

For me, each of the first three seasons had their merits. They were all fantastic in their own right. I feel like Season 4 was the strongest. The first two episodes of Season 5 were slow (compared to the machine they had built in Season 4), but they had to build a new arch. The last 3 episodes - to me - are right up there with their best episodes.

The day Mike died, the entire cast wore black armbands.

Q: Did you do anything special to put Mike to rest? Was there a mock funeral?
A: The crew on the set that day all wore black armbands all day long. There are a lot of friends on that crew. It was an emotional day to say the least on set -- a lot of tears. Tough day, brother.

The clip is definitely worth watching. You see how much these actors care about the show, their characters. Also gives some insight into where he was pulling from in that excellent closing performance.

Far and away Breaking Bad is the best show on TV - perhaps the best show ever. "You're Heisenberg" - "You're G.D. right I am!" ... awesome.

The lead up to that line was even more awesome, "say my name, say it."
