Havent played Madden in a few years myself... but I know some of you on here are big into it, so thought I should share.

Not too surprised, but how on earth are the cards that high? Fitzgerald is one of the best (if not THE best), but one player couldn't have bumped them that much.

Big Madden fan here.

I'm interested to see how Tanny will be rated. He has WR speed, agility and acceleration. But I think they will jip him out of all of the menitoned. Tanny should be a killer player in madden.

The 68 rating personally is a bit ridiculous. Not sure how the team went from a 76 to a 68 simply by losing Brandon Marshall? The defense alone should be high 80's.

As usual, EA sports has 0 clue how to properly rate teams and players.

Looking at next years roster, IMO (not being biased)

Wake, Long should be 95+
Starks, Soliai, Carpenter, Fields90+
Bush, Vontae, Dansby, Odrick, Pouncey 85+
Incog, Bess, D. Thomas, Burnett, 80+
Moore, Garrard, S. Smith, R. Marshall, R. Jones, Clemons, Misi, Ocho Cinco, Hartline, J. Martin, C. Clay, J. Jerry, Nicks, Fasano 75+
T. Hill, J Wilson, S. Slaton, L. Miller, Egnew, Gates, 70+

Not sure how this team pans out to a overall 68. I'd give the team a overall 75

68 is probably a little low, but it is hard to argue. Tannehill will probably have decent speed, and such but not on the level of others like Cam, or RGIII.

But you are definitely overrating a lot of our players..

Wake, Long - yes
Starks, Carpenter and Fields are maybe deserving of 90s or high 80's.

Why would Daniel Thomas be 80+? Gates 70+? He caught like 2 passes? I doubt Jimmy Wilson gets that much of a buff either. Rookies often don't get rated very high for mid round picks either so above 70 would be great if they really were.

Looking at last years ratings, Gates was a 69, I'd say he has improved atleast 1 point. Jimmy Wilson was also a 68. D. Thomas was a 80 for sometime before he got injured.

Don't see how the ratings are all that high?

Compared to Madden 12 (I'm at work so this is to my best memory)

Long - Was 94 Suggested 95+
Wake (When slotted into DE) - Was 99 Suggested 95+
Starks - Was 88 Suggested 90+
Soliai - Was 86 Suggested 90+
Carpenter and Fields - Was Mid 80's Suggested 90+ (Fields is by far one if not the top punter in the NFL)
Bush - Was 83 Suggested 85+ (Basing off his 2011 performance)
Vontae - Was 81 Suggested 85+
Dansby - Was 84 Suggested 85+
Odrick - Was 81 Suggested 85+ (I think we can agree Odrick is about to blow up)
Pouncey - Was 79 Suggested 85+ (Basically had a pro bowl year)
Incog - Was 79 Suggested 80+
Bess - Was 74 Suggested 80+ (From the second I saw this rating I could not stop laughing as to how terrible underrated Bess was)
D. Thomas - Was 76 Suggested 80+ (He was rated 80 but fell after his injury)
Burrnett - Was 79 Suggested 80+
Moore - Was 79 Suggested 75+
Garrard - Was 74 Suggested 75+
S. Smith - Was 79 Suggested 75+
R. Marshall - Was 79 Suggested 75+
R. Jones / Clemons - Was 74 Suggested 75+
Misi - Was 77 Suggested 75+
Ocho Cinco - Was 73 Suggested 75+
Hartline - Was 77 Suggested 75+
C. Clay - Was 72 Suggested 75+
J. Jerry - Was 74 Suggested 75+
Fasano - Was 77 Suggested 75+
Rookies - Usually all get around 70-75

Don't really think the ratings are that over blown. Obviously first year players would have increased awarness which is a HUGE stat in Madden. Gates and L. Miller speed alone makes them a minimum 70.

Lol I love how the jets are rated higher than the saints, texans, and bengals.

I don't know what Madden you've been playing, but first of all! Gates was a 64, not 69. And Jimmy Wilson was 63, not 68. And Daniel Thomas was 74, not 80.

So, I really would like to check the validity of the rest of the roster you posted, but its not worth my time. There were 3 cases right there were you had no idea what was going on. 64 from 69-70 is quite a difference for a rookie who didn't do a thing. I could see Thomas going up to the high 70's, and Wilson's will be hard to judge because of a position change. But I'm hopeful for him, he's bigger this year, should be fun to watch.

Gone are the PS2 days where the Superbowl winner would be a 99 and the superbowl loser was no less than 95. These ratings will change the day this game comes out plus last year they updated the ratings every Tuesday so unless you have no internet on your console or are playing in a whack tourney that uses default rosters don't put too much value in this.
