Yet Miami gets all the crap for not getting Flynn :rolleyes2:

Props to Wilson though! Hope he has a successful career

dodged a bullet it seems. Some articles on nfl.com were saying Flynn played well in preseason, but Russel was better. I beg to differ. I don't think Flynn has been playing well at all.

Dude, Flynn has played just as good as Tannehill played in his 2 preseason games. It's just that Russell Wilson has balled! Again tonight, his numbers are off the hooks - against the #1's. He looks better than every rookie QB so far, including Andrew Luck.

That's one expensive back-up.

I wonder if they would shop Flynn to the division rival Cards for a truckload of pics? I think the Kolb experiment is over.

I could see this kid getting the offensive rookie of the year over Luck.

Typical apologist perspective. Praise Ireland for not signing Flynn yet overlook that we could have drafted Wilson, affording us the ability to draft future All Pro Mike LB Luke Keuchly.

So because he's named the starter of the lowly Seahawks immediately makes him a better option than Ryan Tannehill? Is that your logic?

You haven't watched him play, have you?

Yeah and they could have drafted DeCastro and then what? Are the Stealers dumb for drafting a stud G who is out maybe forever now? 20/20.

I don't think it's Flynn playing bad but more about how well Russell Wilson is playing.....which does NOT surprise me at all. Me and a buddy of mine were talking before the draft that is Russell Wilson was 6'2, he's be the #2 overall pick, no question. Even at 5'11, we both said we'd draft him in the mid rounds b/c he's a great leader, is always calm in the pocket, and someone finds a way to get it done. He just has "it". Just like Kuechly just has "it". Many of us said that on here before the draft too. There's no defensive player i wanted more than him. His instincts are Ray Lewis-esque.....Zach Thomas in a bigger, more athletic body.

from day one i thought wilson was a better prospect than weedon and cousins. i was hoping for him if we would have passed on ryan. loved the kid coming out.

From the get go I didn't want Flynn. Glad the FO agreed on this one.

Hit 88 in the DeLorean and send any one of many FH posters back in time to make some of the picks we wanted at the time and our team's core looks like this:

QB Ryan
WR Nicks
TE Gronk
FS Thomas
LB Keuchly

But that's why we pay Ireland the big bucks.

Russell looks nasty-good so far - wow. Pete with the balls to start the short, low round QB pick - I like it.

He's going to make it tough on defenses this year if he can be consistent and stay healthy.
