Pack need to cut some quality receivers, to wit

Obviously, Gurley has the best size. At 6-foot-4, 232 pounds, he could offer the receiving corps variety. He's long and strong, two attributes that'd help on special teams as well. Borel is the most versatile. The former Utah State quarterback has the ability to play multiple receiver spots and he's the smoothest route runner. As for Boykin, he has the best hands. No young receiver was more consistent all summer.
Up until Thursday's game, Gurley hadn't used that size to his advantage with regularity. Now that he did, maybe the Packers want to see more. Working on cornerback Chandler Fenner, Gurley used his frame to gain inside position on a slant for 15 yards. And while he is the slowest of the bunch, Gurley had enough acceleration to get a step on a corner for his deep reception from Harrell.
Then again, Gurley also dropped a potential 40- or 50-yard reception up the left sideline.
ďIt was close. I should have brought it down," Gurley said. "Itís one of those things, itís the next play. ÖI didnít take myself out of the game after that. I just continued to make a play.Ē
As coach Mike McCarthy said afterward, the Packers have "a long 24 to 48 hours" ahead.
