I have the Philadelphia Eagles defense and the Giants defense, Should I let one of the defenses go and pick up Washingtons running back Alfred Morris. If so which defense would youb keep and is this even a dumb idea in the 1st place.
Thanks for any help you offer

Stephen Hill from the Jets is also available but I usually like having extra running backs more so than receivers

My question to you... why on Earth are you carrying two defenses? I'd drop the Giants for Morris.

I jumped into the league last minute unprepared and had 60 seconds per pick 8 players. Did not see any other pick I wanted by the time I picked (4 or 5 people were on auto pick so it went fast). I wasn't really prepared well to draft to be honest.

Ah, I see. Did Morris already clear waivers, or do you have to put in a claim on him?

There'll always be a defense worth starting that you can pick up on any given week. The only time I'd even remotely consider carrying two is if you have one of the few elite D/STs and you don't want to let them go over their Bye week. But that would only be the case if you wasted a high draft pick to pick them up in first place, which is a mistake. The best move, honestly, is to rotate defenses week-to-week based on match-ups. Even the very best defenses will face a high-powered offense a couple times every year. And there'll always be a defense available that's going up against a stagnant offense that you can pick up whenever. Gotta remember to not put whichever D/ST you've drafted on a pedestal. I dropped mine pre-Week 1 and was better off for it.
