Dolfan984

1354, tell us how you really feel. ;)

I'm serious. You want to put money on the Dolphins being #4 in the East, you win.. If they are 1st, 2nd, OR 3rd in the division, I win.

100 bucks first offer? We can go higher if you want.

breckenridge55
04-21-2002, 01:03 PM
The Dolphins finishing 4th! LMAO that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard. Let's have an NFL MATCHUP! LMAO

Alright, here we go:

Quarterback: Dolphins
Running Back: Dolphins
Receivers: Tie
Tight Ends: Bills
Offensive Line: Tie
Defensive Line: Dolphins
Linebackers: Dolphins
Defensive Backs: Dolphins
Kicker: Dolphins
Punter: Dolphins
Coaching Staff: Dolphins

Looks like we win 8-1. Sorry but Buffalo still sucks. I am mad that this deal went through because now New England gets a really good pick next year. We all know the Bills will have a top 5 pick. But now it is the Patsies! Damn it!

Dolfan984
04-21-2002, 01:06 PM
He's gunna say Drew is better than Jay, you know it.

I'd also make a bet that Jay has better numbers than Drew next year.

Chauncey
04-21-2002, 01:16 PM
No way..Bills go smashmouth this year...Moulds, Reed & Price will spread out defences for Henry to pound for 150/game behind Williams. Remember how Thurman used to tear you guys apart?
At least you're used to it.

Drew's just the icing on the cake....He's less likely to lose games himself than AVP & may win a few by himself. Hell, you could put roboQB in there today & they'd still put up 300 yds a game.

breckenridge55
04-21-2002, 01:17 PM
Drew sucks. I don't wanna waste my time explaining why or how bad he does suck. Talking about any Bills player is a waste of time.

Chauncey
04-21-2002, 01:18 PM
Time will tell....

Dolfan984
04-21-2002, 01:22 PM
Drew doesn't suck, but he isn't a savior.

Chauncey
04-21-2002, 01:25 PM
Like I said...RoboQB could be successful after the offseason moves the Bills have made. Some RoboQB's are better than other RoboQB's. LOL

Dolfan984
04-21-2002, 01:27 PM
Just hope that your line stays healthy. That is a big key.

I think Dolfans know that more than anyone =/

dolfan25
04-21-2002, 01:28 PM
You had a terrible interior run defense last year. If you don't find someone to replace Ted Washington and the Fish get to run on Leif Larson again, look out.

Muck
04-21-2002, 01:32 PM
Bledsoe is an awesome QB. And the Bills are making great moves. But I'm not afraid of Drew. This defense feasts on him.

Chauncey
04-21-2002, 01:38 PM
Bills will feast by running the ball down your throats.
Does the number 226 sound familiar?

Dolfan984
04-21-2002, 01:45 PM
Our run D will be much better than last year. Don't count on just being able to line up against them and run the ball all of the time.

With Gardner playing end, and Chester playing DT with Bowens, it could be very hard to run against us. Don't count on a Tackle or TE being able to block Gardner.

Muck
04-21-2002, 01:45 PM
That's where your wrong. We've got a beast in Daryl Gardener now playing RE. And run stopping specialist Larry Chester inside. All four of our DLmen are strong run stopppers.

Tell Travis Henry to make his jockstrap extra tight and bring it.

dolfan25
04-21-2002, 01:45 PM
3-13 does. Again have the Bills addressed their glaring need for a quality DT. Lamar Smith had his best game against Buffalo last year in what was effectively the Bills SB.

Will the Bills be improved, most definitely, Bledsoe is a great QB but if you can't stop the run in a division with C. Martin, R. Williams, and A. Smith you will have to hope for shootouts to win your games

Lastly if you think London Fletcher is better than a healthy Sam Cowart, think again.

Dolfan984
04-21-2002, 01:47 PM
I expect Zach to have some BIIIG numbers this year :)

iceblizzard69
04-21-2002, 01:56 PM
Bills vs. Dolphins
QB: Bills (Fiedler is average, Bledsoe is good)
RB: Dolphins
WR: Dolphins (the depth is better, and Chambers will breakout)
OL: Tie
DL: Dolphins
LB: Dolphins
DB: Dolphins
K: Dolphins

We will kill the Bills twice.

breckenridge55
04-21-2002, 02:48 PM
The problem with Bledsoe though, is that he has about as much mobility as the tree sitting in my front yard. With Jason Taylor, John Abraham, and now the guy the Jets picked in the first round, You have to be able to move somewhat or squish, there goes Bledsoe. I still think the Patriots got the better part of the deal. They got a Top 10 pick in next year's draft for an old overpaid backup (their backup, not a real NFL backup) QB. The Bills still had Van Pelt who put up pretty good numbers last year. Although Van Pelt might not have been the answer, now the Bills have to deal with that huge salary and trying to re-structure a contract.

That sounds interesting but I just have one question: with what? Unless they put a bulldozer in the backfield which, last time I checked was still illegal, they still don't have a RB or half of an O-line. If you try to say Travis Henry is anything but a stop-gap adequate RB, the you've been hanging out in the Beefalo 40 below weather too long.

Yes, the Jills got better over the weekend, and yes, they will be tougher to beat, but no, there is absolutely no way that they have done enough to make themselves contenders within this division, much less within the NFL. As far as Miami finishing last, all I can really say is have your mommy shake you awake because your wet dreams won't be coming true any time in the next couple of season.

Your team should have drafted Bryant McKinnie over Mike Williams, Jills fan. Then Bledsoe would have a solid LT and LG, at least (Can Williams play LT?). Still, the rest of your OL is pretty weak, you don't have a stud running back, and your defense STILL SUCKS (Even more, in fact, with the loss of Sam Cowart).

And who's to say that Drew Bledsoe won't go down with a serious injury like he did last year in the second or third game of the year with the Pats?

Drew's a good QB, in my opinion, but he's only as good as his offensive line and running game. He doesn't have a killer release, but his arm-strength is unmatched (Excluding Favre). He's very immobile, however. At least Marino had the lightning release and was a bit mobile within the pocket, in his earlier years. You better beef up the OL and get a running game going if you expect Drew to do well.

I remember one time when Drew faced us down in Miami. This was in the Post-Edwards/Martin era for the Pats. They absolutely could not run the ball. They reminded me a lot of the Dolphins of the early 90s in that regard. Anyway, we picked him off 4 times. Man, I can't wait till we do that to him again, this time with him fitted in one of those Jills uniform :)

Chauncey

McKinnie's a stiff & not agressive enough in run blocking. What's this crap about him never allowing a sack? Welcome to the NFL, Bryant, you're going to allow sacks, big boy. Besides, put him in 25 degree weather & snow & see how he'll do LOL.

If we can keep Henry from picking up little girls at gas stations ;-) we have our stud....look at the big games he had with our horrible offensive line last year. With the addition of Williams & Teague (who by the way was the only Broncos OL not suspended for biting, or kicking someone in the nuts last year...that's why they got rid of him) our OL matches up well with anyone's.

You put down Mckinnie b/c he is from a warm weathered college, but Williams is from Texas. Williams hometown is also in Texas. (http://www.nfl.com/draft/2002/profiles/williams_mike.htm)

These Jill fans are something else. They have a good Prospect at tackle and a talented but lazy guard and now they think they have a great OL. They have an average RB, but they think they'll run all over defenses. They have one good run stopping linemen, but they think they can stop Marshall Faulk. They have an injury prone QB, but they think they have Dan Marino.

Williams' knee will let out and he will miss the season. He is the next Tony Boselli, a good player who will always be injured.

Bodzilla29
04-21-2002, 08:49 PM
Boselli was never injured his first 5 or 6 years, and he was AWESOME.....I'd love to get that kind of production from any draft pick.

Williams played almost ALL YEAR on his "hurt" knee, it is a non issue. Buffalo got themselves a stud with that pick, Williams or McKinnie makes no difference, either one would be our best Olineman.

I'll save judgement on Teague because usually those Denver olinemen are products of a dirty, dirty, blocking system and once they go to other teams are exposed and suck. Have to wait and see.

The Bills do have so good young talent on their line, R Brown, Williams, Sullivan should make a good nucleus.

Knocking McKinnie is just plain dumb tho.

04-21-2002, 09:07 PM
McKinnie will be so much better than Williams will be.

First of all, Remember that Cowart didn’t play last season…So Fletcher WILL be an up-grade….Second, Mike Williams will run over Little Jason Taylor. Here is an accurate Breakdown

CB’s - Miami
LB’s – Tie (Thomas is better then Fletcher, Robinson makes it a tie)
D-Line – Miami
O-Line – Buffalo
RB – Miami (But Buffalo makes it close with L. Centers)
WR – Buffalo (Moulds alone makes this a better position)
QB – Buffalo
TE – Buffalo

Yeah, Miami's O Line is shaky...

Hahaha. Silly Bills fans. Think Bledsoe is their saviour. Perhaps you should go back and see just how often the Patriots went to the playoffs with Bledsoe at the helm.

You guys still don't have a playoff team. You keep that bag on your head Chauncey because the only thing the Bills will be fighting for is to stay out of last place in the east by hoping the Jets have a more horrible year.

I think you all might want to check your stats before all of you Jills fans start singing praises to Bledsoe the Mesiah. If you look at Bledsoe's last three years in the league (I use three since he really didn't play last year) compared to Fiedler's two years as starter, you will notice that they have almost identical TD to INT percentage. Bledsoe had 38 TD's to 36 INT's and Fiedler had 34 TD's to 33 INT's. So if you want to be accurate when comparing QB's you would put QB as a draw. So here's my breakdown based on these stats:

DB: Miami
LB: Tie (I agree with Billsfan's assesment)
D-Line: Miami (we need some depth but our starters are tops)
O-Line: Tie (on paper Buffalo looks better but Williams has yet to prove himself in an NFL Game so we'll reserve judgement on this one until we see him at NFL game speed.)
RB: Miami (Williams, Edwards, Minor, Konrad, Dyer, and now Henry make up one of the deepest RB classes in the league.)
WR: Buffalo (Moulds, when he's on is one of the best and Price started to show something last year too.)
TE: Buffalo (this could change once Norv's offense is actually implemented.)

For the most part Billsfan had it right except for the QB thing. If Bledsoe comes in and returns to form then he can be one of the best but he hasn't had that form for several years now. I do think he will be better this year though, if only for the simple fact that he now has a chip on his shoulder.

Thanks Expo, You seem knowledgeable. However I must say that I don't see Edwards playing a single down next year, or ever for that matter. His injury was much too severe and I would be willing to place a large wager on him not making the team.

EddieIrvine13
04-22-2002, 03:15 PM
I disagree with you on the WR debate. Miami has better WRs. Though I agree Moulds is the best on both teams, Chambers, Ward, McKnight, Gadsden has more depth and that matters a lot. We will have 4+ receivers with 500+ receiving yards. You will have two.

Billsfan
04-22-2002, 04:20 PM
Chambers could be something special but the rest are very average and no better then Price.

iceblizzard69
04-22-2002, 04:23 PM
We are better at WR, all they have is Moulds, a rookie, and Price. We have four capable WR, three being better than Price. Also, they are very shaky at OLB. We are also a lot better up the middle so we are better at LB.

squeel like a pig and the jILLY INBRED fans started posting ??? You boys are laugh in a half --- Stone boy Bledsoe comes limping into jILLY LAND, on shetland pony and all the real fans in the AFC East that support a REAL team that has a REAL legitimate chance at a championship have to read your assinine postings about how tough your team is going to be ---now----- after the draft!!! I will post this as simple as I can so even you 3rd grade dropouts can even understand ,,,,,,,,, Your team, (so called) was 3-16 last season, yes you had some close games but SO WHAT ! I will admit that Bledsoe is a monumental improvement over ANYTHING that your team called a qb over the past couple seasons, but if Bledsoe had even a chance to take a team to the S-B do you really think that the Patsies would have let him go ??? Williams is NOOOO McKinnie,, he is a good OLman,, better than anyone you have right now(which isn't saying much) but he has a whole HELL of alot to prove after being an overall 4th rnd pick,, and the pressure is on!!!! The only parts of your franchise that would or could concern me is how freaking disgusting you iLLS FANS ARE and how unbelievably gross looking your cheerleaders ARE!! Your iLLS ((self proclaimed football team)) are a cast of comedy doofs, that couldn't get a position on the team in the movie The Replacments ...        Marino1983

If you ever read a book (no comics don't count) or have seen a movie (dude, where's my car doesn't count either) you'd understand the nickname & the quote are from a novel & a movie obviously quite above your level of intellect.

Then again...coming from a Phins fan, it's understandable.

I come on to this site and attempt to have knowledgeable football conversations. For the most part this can be done. However, you sound like 15-year-old boy when you post. I’m writing this to inform you that I will no longer read your posts. You bring NOTHING to the table. Your arguments are nothing but opinion. You base nothing on stats or past performance. It’s an incredible waste of time for me to even respond to your posts. So I bid you farewell. Have fun bashing me in your posts, I won’t be reading them.

jILLSY willsy fan,,,,, your most recent post is probably the best one that ANYONE on this site has read!! You really crack me up,, you say you come" to this site for knowledgeable football conversation"" and you post nothing but your INBREDED jILLYBOB B**** S***,, and you expect that (the Dolphin fans) the people that log onto this site every day not to challenge your opinionated, completely assinine postings that are about as informative as watching DR LAURA !!!!!! Your opinion of me - (ask me if I care !!), and calling me a 15 yr old - (I wish I could go back to those days), both show that being paranoid and an A***H*** are prerequisite to becoming a full fledged jILLY BOB fan!! When (((your postings))) reflect back to someone of the age of 2, (and that is being real nice iLLS FAN) then I believe it is time for you to proof read before YOU post,, and learn that when you are on a rival teams website,, any criticism of that team is going to cause your A** to be flamed! So 2 things are needed #1 have all your facts before you post - ((which you are completely clueless jILLS boy)) and #2 learn to show respect on another teams site !!! I do not even think you know the definition of the word RESPECT ... Here's what I'll do for my ratings. It'll be a 5 point scale. From -2 to positive 2. -2 being highly in the Bills favor, -1 being slightly in the Bills favor, you get the picture.

DB’s - 1 (Bills have a decent secondary, but Miami's is top of the line)
LB’s – 1 (We have Thomas, a solid LB in Rodgers and a VERY talented LB in Greenwood)
D-Line – 2 (Our D-Line is sick)
O-Line – -1 (Our line should improve, but Buffalo's line is looking pretty good, though Rookie LTs usually struggle)
RB – 2 (Williams is awesome, Minor is a great 3rd down back)
WR – 0 (Chambers got promoted to starter :D Moulds is the best of the bunch, but Gadsden is better than Price)
QB – 0 (Bledsoe in 3 of his 9 seasons, had better numbers than Jay did last year, Jay should improve, but so should Bledsoe, going to keep this even.)
TE – -2 (JR is a VERY good TE)

We have a +3, fairly close.

Marino1983

of your post 984 but the facts remain that it is virtually impossible to predict the power of an NFL player, team, and division untill the preseason games have finished ! With all the changes that have occurred in just the last week,, I do not see how ANYBODY can seriously break down players, teams, and divisions and be a credible sports source. Who in their wildest dreams could have picked the last 2 S-B winners? While I believe that the AFC East will be the toughest division in the NFL this season,, I cannot predict the order in which the division will finish , including as to who will win the East. I do know that with the addition of R-W's--- the Dolphins have to be considered a viable threat to go very deep into the playoffs this season. Bledsoe is a nice addition to Buffalo but who is going to run the ball ? The Patsies sort of snuck up on everybody last year and I really doubt that they will have the same success. Brady IMOP is a very average qb and with the simple scheme used in the Patsie offense last year,, if they go back to that this season the Patsie fans will be crying for Bledsoe back !! And as for the jEST,,, while they have picked up a few players (in the draft and free agency) that will help their defense to be more respectiable,, V Testicleless is still their their starting qb and with Pennington still sitting on the bench it makes you wonder why their coaching staff isn't putting more pressure on him to grasp the offense!! With C- Martin in the backfield the jEST are always a threat to win the division,, plus Martin is starting his 8th season and how much longer can he carry this offense? Testicleless is on the downside of his career and the jEST need Pennigton to step up to the plate and produce or the jEST just might be looking at a 500 season. if that. :D ;) Marino1983

i think bledsoe to moulds looks to be a very tough combination to stop..(specially for the dolphins whom never have matched up to moulds very well that bastard) i think the bills defence is still too shotty to win games or keep them in them...

Marino1983
04-28-2002, 10:17 AM
that requires alot of time, thus with the way the iLLS O-Line played last season and with the coming changes that are expected on their O-Line this season,,, I just do not see how Bledsoe is going to have enough time to find Moulds, Price etc. One of the iLLS other problems (one of many) is a running game, with Bledsoe not being able to move, the oppositions defense is going to be salivating when he lines up behind center,, T Henery IMOP does not scare anybody - S Bryson is too inconsistant and S Morris reminds me a little of S Smith ,, which this all equals 0, zilch, natta, for a running game!! So I would suggest that Bledsoe starts to wear every pad that is available to him,,, especially when the Dolphins line up across from him ...   Marino1983
