As was foretold, so it shall be. Like the phoenix, the PoFo Fantasy Football League has arisen in order to spread its wings and fly high once more. Except in our case, instead of being reborn from noble ashes we just sort of woke up groggy, hungover, and possibly missing a kidney. And by "fly high" I am of course referring to our race to the bottom of the cesspool. After last years mass roofying which caused us to forget who won, though we sure as hell remember who lost, we have committed a hard reboot. By expanding the league to 11 victims and 1 Spesh, dividing each other up based on our now publicly known spiritual beliefs, and making an extra effort to mock forum members and ridicule popular myths with our league awards, we feel we can deliver a much more vile experience to last years test run. With that in mind...

In the proud Ft. Pouncey Correctional Facility there stands two divisions.

The pack of claw swinging, prey devouring, king of the damn jungle Lions include:

The Insidious Liberal Media(Spesh)
Hands up, Don't Poot!(TheWalrus)
Libtards Muslim Ticklers(Locke)
Free Hernandez(Gonzo)
Josh Gordon's Stash(PhinPhan11)
And that guy who really needs to change his ****ing team name(Valandui)

Meanwhile, the roll call for the arts-and-craft Christian Sunday school class include:

Picklewagon Express(Harry_Bagpipe)
28 Grahams(rob19)
GeorgeZimmerman Security Inc.(Mr. Hankey)
Donkey Jaws(Buddy)
Dion Jordan's Medicine Chest(Louphin)
Abstinence Warriors(COphinphan)

The Walrus cheating will begi....err, the draft will occur on August 28th at 8 pm EST. The order is:

1) Harry_Bagpipe
2) TheWalrus
3) Glorious Spesh
4) Mr. Hankey
5) Louphin
6) Rob19
7) PhinPhan11
8) COphinphan
9) Gonzo
10) Buddy
11) Valandui
12) Locke

Anyone who wants to follow us can find the league home here:

And credit for that brilliant piece of art above goes to Disturbed Shifty.

There needs to be some sort of punishment each week for the team with the lowest score. A hideous avatar or something that people have to keep here on the forum until the next week. I'd ask Harry to do it but the only thing he has on his computer is gay porn.

Anyway, **** everyone. **** you all. **** Jesus. **** the Pope. By the time this league is over I'll have stitched you all into a human centipede and poured a mix of raisins, yoghurt and habaneros into one end and watched the mix of foul, racid, spicy **** make it's way from one unit to the next. You'll be begging for a bullet.

You won't get one.

You're drafting ninth. The original posted order is the right one. I input the draft order manually and did it from memory and flipped you and Gonzo.

Bull****. You swapped the picks for favors. I would say they are of sexual nature, but Harry would have been invited to photograph the entire incident. Since he was left in the dark, its obviously something else. Im guessing an assassination.

So ive been thinking of the "punishment". I felt i had to get drunk before i posted my thoughts on the issue, since thats when im at my most articulate and compassionate. Obviously.

Since this is a internet forum, the options are limited. What im thinking is the person is last place has to change their avatar to Cam Cameron or Bill Parcells for the entire 2013 offseason. And, they have to make a big ass thread excusing Cameron or Parcells for their tenure with this team. That the other 9 members of this league would write, of course. As well, during the post, they would have to make special mention of the winner of the league. Something to the effect of how "he(Spesh, because thats how its going to go down) is the best poster on this forum and his predictions have proven accurate and handsome and oh yeah hes completely humble".

Admittedly pretty mild, but their should be some quality nerdrage entertainment from this forum on the subject. Bunch of "disagrees" and some negative rep.

I like the idea of an offseason avi for the person in last place. If you really want make sure the loser gets some hate and bad rep though the thread to write is a "We should have sucked for Bridgewater" thread. THAT will be kicking the hornet's nest.

Hell yes, now we are cooking with oil.

Add on a couple of amendments, such as "Wake is over 30 and hes 'really' in the last year of his deal, he needs to be cut", and we are in business. I still pound the table for letting the winners write it.

The only "problem" i foresee is the original plan of punishing the weekly loser. It seems to dilute the humiliation of the league mouthbreather. Personally, im all about quality>quantity. Plus, i figure the weekly mockery of the winner of the games should do nicely. A "small government" measure, if you will.

Granted. I think we have a plan going. Rest of the degenerates should chime in before the draft if they want to avoid punishment before we begin. While Walrus changes his avatar every 2 minutes, Locke (for example) has had his for as long as ive been posting. Not to mention the Bridgewater thread.

True. But my question is... this "I'm not your hero" thing. Is that something he finds he constantly has to remind people of?

Small child: "Dude. You're like... a hero."

Locke (sternly): "I'm not your hero."

Small child: "I mean you smell like roasted lamb, cockhitler. The sandwich."

Locke: "Oh. I'm not a sandwich, either. I'm not... your sandwich."

Could always make the loser sport a jets rule or I <3 Nubler avi. In fact whomever comes in last, I say has to make a thread in homage to him on the main. And it has to appear heartfelt, apologetic and sincere.

Also, COphinfan informed me that he thought the ninth spot was the best drafting spot this year due to the large depth in talent. He asked me if we could trade spots. After much consideration, I reluctantly agreed since I didn't wanna feel like I had any more of an advantage than I already did. So if you can be a lamb and switch our drafting positions, that'd be great. Thanks a bunch.

I agree that weekly punishments for low points would be difficult to sustain over the course of an entire NFL season. But some form of humiliation for the person that finishes the regualr season with the worst record is entirely apporpriate and MUST happen. Avatar change for the entire offseason, say until the start of the next Fins training camp and some humilating thread on the main board sounds about right.

I'm still good for Tuesday. Gonzo was really the big variable, I think. He's going to Canada -- as wankers do -- on Tuesday or Wednesday. The only thing I was thinking about was pushing it back slightly. My other league ended up scheduling a draft for the same day at like 9pm. If no one has an objection to moving the draft back to say, 11, that would help me out. I don't think there should be a technical challenge to drafting two teams at the same time -- I've got two computers -- but it sounds like a really good way to **** up one or both of my teams.

Theres another consideration to take into account when it comes to the timing of the draft: we are going to need time to relentlessly mock Locke after he ****s up. Those of us in the eastern time zone need a few reasonable hours to point and laugh at him.

My weep for humanity moment. Bar trivia tonight, of course I won solo against 19 other teams, that goes without saying but one question was "name the capital of Nebraska". Now I can understand if a team puts down as their answer "Omaha" but the silly girl team behind me decided that their answer was going to be "Wyoming". Again I wept

Lol. Love the new trophies created. I think the micropeen should go to which ever team drafts the most dolphins though due to the namesake. But that one works too. LoL

can you also make it where any player can create a poll? I think that definitely has potential in the mocking department.

Maybe there's a way, but I just looked and couldn't find it. Sorry. :(

A trophy for "most Dolphins selected" is something I can do after the draft. There are only "automatic" trophies for certain things but I can make a custom trophy for whatever I want.

Both of the trophies I made can and will change hands during the season.

Think we all did solid work(save Locke, which should be taken for granted since he was busy at a wine tasting event or something equally as inferior to our draft), cant really see any ridicule worthy right off the bat(again: save for Locke), but i like what Mr. Hankey pulled off. No real weaknesses and a few guys with a lot of potential. Only thing im hesitant about is quarterback(Cam Newton), but then again...Locke...

Cam is a great QB for our league, where passing touchdowns are only worth four points but rushing touchdowns are worth six. I strongly considered him in the fourth but decided against it since there were so many good QBs on the board. Locke's autodrafting killed that, though.

Part of it, yeah. He's looked good in preseason and I think Chip Kelly's offense will surprise some people, especially in the early part of the season. Eventually Vick will get injured but Foles is worth starting in a pinch and I'm pretty sure no one's going to pick him up.

Once the QBs started flying off the board (thanks to Locke) I knew I had Vick in my back pocket and instead of reaching for a QB I decided to start stockpiling RBs and WRs. As a result my bench is freaking stacked, at least in my humble opinion. Locke on the other hand only has three running backs total on his roster and one of them is Darren McFadden so I can only assume he'll be looking for a trade sooner or later if he doesn't outright release one of his QBs (which I'd be tempted to do if I was him. There's actually some good free agents out there that won't last long).

Seems as though we had a similar plan. I had told myself i wasnt going to pick a quarterback before the 8th round. I locked onto Luck and figured it was do or die with him, though i would have happily settled for Wilson falling if someone "reached" for Luck. Ironically, i expected there to be a run early because of Locke grabbing Rodgers early...i just had no idea he would go full retard.

I liked your Garcon and Givens pick. I was going to draft Garcon if James Jones was taken. As well, i had planned to take Givens in the 9th. When my pick came up i hadnt been paying much attention so i went searching for him. Thought i was buzzed and just missing the name, took me a good 20 seconds or so to decide to check the "drafted" list.

And because i could only jab him once in this post: Locke's a bitch.

Garcon is another guy who will get injured eventually, but I'll start him over Antonio Brown until he does. By then, though, Josh Gordon will be back from suspension and he is absolutely going to light it up this year, imo. He had like 800 yards and 8 TDs last year and that's with Weeden looking like ass and Richardson hobbled. This preseason Weeden has looked way better, and with Norv Turner as the OC and his love of play action bombs away offense, he is going to be a poor man's Julio Jones or Demaryrius Thomas.

By the way, you stole two guys I wanted: Luck and Cameron. So thanks for that. I had ended up with one of them in probably 75% of mocks I did. I considered taking Cameron over Vick but just thought that someone might take Vick in which case I'd be left with, I dunno... Roethlisberger or something. It was round 12 and I hadn't taken a QB yet. At least Vick has a shot to light it up for a while. Roethlisberger is just always Roethlisberger.

I got Wilson in the 8th because I knew if I passed then either someone behind me was going to grab him or Locke would've autopicked him (instead he got Romo). Walrus didn't have a QB yet and was one pick behind me so I jumped on it. Walrus will still probably end up with Romo or Kaep.

I definitely would have considered Wilson if you hadn't taken him. He lit it up the second half of the season and I absolutely love watching him. Watched every snap he played last year. It gives me the opportunity to pat myself on the back for thinking he deserved to be taken in the first round of the actual draft.

You got Wilson in the 9th, a pick after i grabbed Boldin(who i drafted simply because i didnt see anyone else i liked and Givens was gone) which is even better value then my Luck pick. I suppose i jumped the gun with Luck in the 8th, though i was going according to my plan. Still, like Walrus said, i didnt want to get left with Rapist and nothing. That was a good pick.

I've watched a bunch of their preseason games and that's how their using him. Probably just a case of outsmarting myself, though. I offered him three deals in total and that's the one he choose. It's a fair deal for him under the circumstances. I took Miller two rounds before Kaepernick got autodrafted. Wasn't just going to trade them straight up, especially since I now only have three start worthy running backs. Otherwise the way I figured it he basically would have just had to just release Tony Romo outright and get nothing in return.

Yea for him it's probably the best he could've done. At least now he has a starter after McFadden puts up one-thousand yards in the first 3 games before breaking his tailbone. Under normal circumstances though that's a pretty sweet deal, I think you got Miller in like the 6th round.

I'm guessing the other trades involved Eddie Lacy in some way or fashion.

With all the questions to the Rams receiving core, while talented, i coveted the experienced guy. Quick has potential and they are counting on him, but Givens is the guy in my opinion. I expect/hope Bradford to recover. I loved him coming out and would like him to succeed, especially since he wont be going against Miami.

Gordon suspension isnt overally concerning, but compared to players i had rated just as highly but available from the beginning of the season....well, went with those.

No I actually offered him both Spiller and Ridley, but both deals involved me getting Calvin Johnson in return (along with Peyton in the Spiller offer, and Kaepernick in the Ridley one). Got the 3 rbs and the te I targeted before the draft. Kinda annoyed my screen glitched twice autopicking for me both times. Was gonna draft a receiver in Ryan's spot and grab stafford or romo later and no way I draft a defense that early but can't complain that much. Like my team alot outside of one receiver spot and if gronk comes back early, that's a huge advantage. Really wanted garcon but Wally snaked him right before by pick. Also, even though he was rated lower than I think he deserves, I think mjd is gonna be a top producer. He's good for 1700 all purpose yards and he did lead the nfl in rushing a year ago and was leading it last year until he got hurt

You get more points for rushing touchdowns than you do for passing touchdowns in this league. Peyton is never going to rush for a touchdown unless he is sacked and his bobblehead accidentally rolls into the endzone. I can't have McFadden as a starter since, as rob said, McFadden will single handedly win me the first three games of the season before stubbing his toe and missing the rest of the season. So I'll roll with Kaepernick as my starter and hope Miller has the season everyone thinks he is going to have.

I really wanted CJ Spiller, but I couldn't justify moving Calvin Johnson. He is going to be a consistent 10+ pointer for me each week. So I'm going heavy on rushers and QBs who rush for TDs and hope lady luck is on my side a few times this season. Besides, I don't have to win. I just have to not finish last...

So I have analyzed the draft and everyone's rosters backward and forward, and I have come to an inescapable conclusion.

It's a league where you get more points for rushing TDs than passing TDs. it devalues the immobile QB to an extent. And it absolutely exaggerates the value of RBs. We all know we are going to be running a hell of a lot this year. With this particular scoring grid, a Kaepernick and RG3 is far more valuable than a Payton Manning. I wasn't going to move either of those 2. But I guess we'll see. All I know is I couldn't go into the season relying on McFadden. And this is a league that is going to live and die by your RB...

Over at ESPN they do a 16 team PPR league with a who's who of their football people, including guys like Matthew Berry, Adam Schefter, Chris Mortensen, Trey Wingo, Ed Werder, Michael Smith, Stefania Bell, Tim Hasselbeck, Mark Schlereth and Trent Dilfer (along with a bunch of their top producers). Berry says it's the most competitive he's in, since these are literally the most plugged in football people on the network.

Apparently they saw that we were doing our draft last night and decided in a fit of jealous rage to hold their own draft at the same time. Berry posted the results: https://www.facebook.com/MatthewJBerry/posts/10151522052552820

I bought Berry's book. Should be getting here in a few days. Here's an excerpt Locke might enjoy:

So with his pregnant wife in the car starting to have contractions and about to give birth, Jason stops at the draft to make a pick. That's right. He delayed the birth of his child for fantasy.

Only by about 10 minutes and her contractions were still fairly far apart, but still. I repeat. He delayed the birth of his child for fantasy.

But did it stop him from drafting? Of course not. If you've learned anything from this chapter it's that it doesn't matter where you are. If it's draft day, you draft. Period. Whether you are in a Red Robin outfit, whether you are at a male strip club, or even if you are overseas fighting in a war...

You heard me.

I cohost a daily fantasy football podcast for ESPN called Fantasy Focus, and we have a very popular 16-team "Man's League" where listeners play in a league against our producer, Jay Soderberg, aka "Podvader." In 2011 Chase Magann was among the 15 people selected to play in it.

Unlike the 14 others, however, his day job was fighting a war. "My buddy Jake Rettig and I were stationed in northern Iraq at FOB Warrior, just outside the city of Kirkuk. We work as a scout weapons team. Our main mission was to protect the base from rocket attacks, paired with a ground patrol inside the city of Kirkuk." The guys were excited to be selected for the league, but to put it mildly, it would not be easy.

"Iraq was eight hours ahead of the eastern United States in time. And we were concerned that we would have to fly mission during the actual draft. So we devised a plan: we'd wake up around 4 a.m., fly the mission, and be back in time to draft. The entire schedule was worked out for our day to revolve around this auction."

So they took off just as the sun rose, but it didn't matter. It was still crazy hot. "September in Iraq is not fall. Sitting in the Kiowa Warrior with no doors on and all our body armor and gear made it even hotter.

We flew like that for seven hours. As we did our mission, Jake and I discussed who we liked for the upcoming draft. Jake liked Matthew Stafford; I wanted to avoid Peyton Hillis. We war-gamed how much we were willing to spend on each position and sleepers we thought we could get cheap." They landed back on the base just before the draft. (Think about that. They had to do their entire prep for this draft while flying over hostile territory during wartime in Iraq.)

So now Chase and Jake go to the computer room that was designed for soldiers to use to keep in touch with their families. The auction was going along fine for a while, Chase recalls, until disaster struck. "I was about to hit pass on Peyton Hillis [in his last year with the Browns] when the Internet froze. We couldn't do anything. Instantly we decided to go back to my room for the draft, where the Internet wasn't as reliable but was run by a different server."

Annoying but reasonable, right? Except the computer room they were in was in a hangar, Chase tells me, that "was surrounded by giant concrete barriers and baskets filled with dirt and sand. They are all designed to protect from rocket attacks that happened on the base."

That's right. Rocket attacks. You have the same concerns where you draft, right? Unfortunately for Chase, "the fastest way to our living quarters was through this maze of barriers. But we had no choice. So I took off running. I hadn't had time to change out of my uniform from earlier, so I had on my ACU patterned flight suit, combat boots, and my 9mm pistol strapped to the side of my hip as I jumped on the side of barriers trying to get to our living areas."

Personally, I get tired from repeated trips to the fridge in shorts and a T-shirt, but for Chase and Jake? "It took about two minutes to run at a full sprint back to our rooms about a quarter-mile away. Once I got there, I flipped up my computer and saw that at that time I was missing money and had filled a roster spot. That roster spot was now filled . . . with running back Peyton Hillis. He was auto-auctioned onto our team at a much higher price than we could afford."

These guys woke up at 4 a.m., flew all day over Iraq, ran through concrete barriers that were open to potential rocket attacks, completely risked their lives serving our country, and what was their reward?

Just 10 games played, three touchdowns, 717 total yards. Peyton Freakin' Hillis. Remember when Hillis couldn't play one week that year because he got a cold? Jake and Chase were flying over Iraq in 100-degree heat. I'm glad it's Chase and Jake protecting our country, not Peyton Hillis. Just saying.

Matt Berry is making me feel real good about my runningbacks & a couple of my bench players in his Bold Prediction column that came out today:

Atlanta Falcons: I say Steven Jackson leads the NFL in rushing touchdowns this year. What I'm thinking: If you've read anything from me this preseason, you know I'm all-in on Steven Jackson. He's a three-down back on an explosive offense that runs when it gets in close. If Michael Turner could get 10 rushing touchdowns last year, no reason the much better Jackson can't get to 15 or so, which is what led the NFL last year. All-in.

Baltimore Ravens: I say Ray Rice finishes the year as the No. 1 running back in fantasy. What I'm thinking: Pierce, schmierce. We looked at it: Last year, under current Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell, Rice averaged just as many touches and had more red zone looks and goal-to-go touches than he did under Cam Cameron. Did you see where he got 16 touches the other day Ö in a preseason game? He will once again be the focal point of a good offense, and Vonta Leach coming back only helps.

Houston Texans: I say DeAndre Hopkins has a better fantasy season than Andre Johnson.

New England Patriots: I say Zach Sudfeld, currently going in the 14th round, is a top-10 fantasy tight end.

New Orleans Saints: I say Mark Ingram, currently going 34th among running backs, is a top-20 back this year.

New York Jets: I say someone on this team will be a usable fantasy starter. What I'm thinking: It's the Jets. What do you want from me? If Chris Ivory stays healthy he'll be a top-20 running back.

Seattle Seahawks: I say over 1,000 yards and 10 scores for Golden Tate. What I'm thinking: Russell Wilson is going to make someone a star this year, and Tate has the best odds of being that guy.

He also gave a little love to Walrus & Spesh's bench:

Green Bay Packers: I say Eddie Lacy, currently going as running back No. 21 in the fifth round, finishes as a top-10 running back.

Philadelphia Eagles: I say Michael Vick stays healthy all 16 games and becomes a top-five fantasy quarterback.

Cleveland Browns: I say Josh Gordon (being drafted 43rd among wide receivers), Jordan Cameron (14th at tight end) and the Browns D/ST (D/ST No. 19) all outperform their ADP by at least 10 spots.

Indianapolis Colts: I say T.Y. Hilton, currently being drafted as wide receiver No. 32, finishes as a top-15 fantasy wide receiver. You heard me.

St. Louis Rams: I say Chris Givens, currently going 40th among wide receivers, has 1,100 yards and eight touchdowns.

I'm only in 2 leagues so I don't think it'll be as time consuming for me as it might've been for you. That is pretty funny though that you quit entirely like you're a newly sober alcoholic.

MJD was my backup plan had Chris Johnson been grabbed. I would have had no problem drafting him in the second. I just couldnt pass up the chance for Johnson to go nuts. Even his "bad year" he had 1.4k yards. Plus i think Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert are going to bust hard, thus making running back the focus of their teams.

Anyways, died at the new trophies  The Betty White picture had me rolling, well played.

Not bad. I believe Denarious Moore was the last #1 listed wide receiver taken in our draft, & I STILL regret it a bit. Oakland's offense looks historically bad from what I've seen in the preseason. Like I think they gave up 8 sacks in 2 quarters in their second preseason game. Matt Flynn looks like hot garbage and if Pryor couldn't take the job from him until now then it doesn't give me a lot of confidence that he'll be much better.

For reference, I believe Walrus took Josh Gordon 1 pick after me in that round. If I had to bet I'd say Gordan will probably have a better per-game average then Moore.

Jesus. I can sort of see how it happened. Spiller and Johnson her first two picks, followed by Forte then Thomas. Then it sort of goes downhill, imo. But still... definitely looks like one of those leagues where Colin Kaepernick or RGIII is taken 1st overall and is a total homer league from the word go. A guy like Thomas in particular flies way under the radar relative to his production. Wouldn't shock me if his was the #2 overall receiver in fantasy this season. I had him #3 after Marshall.

In no way, shape, or form should she have walked out with 3 potentially elite running backs and Demaryius. Shouldnt have happened. Someone dropped the ball on letting those guys drop. Not to mention guys with potential such as Hilton, Torrey, and Gron.

I agree on Moore. She asked me for advice during the draft(hence the Hilton, Rams D, and Luck picks) but didnt let me know about that one. Had she done so i would have told her to stay away. Moore isnt a bad player, but i agree Oakland looks terrible. Legitimate chance they dont win a game this season. I feel for Flynn a bit. Theres no shame in losing out to Russell Wilson, and getting clubbed to death by the Raiders isnt exactly "fair". Still, if he was a franchise quarterback he wouldnt be put in these situations. Unfortunate for him though.

Oh and while we are on the subject on Oakland, the Colts play them week one. Also, Jamaal Charles plays Jacksonville. And i happen to be playing COphin this week....
I suppose what im saying is:

Havent gotten the full story, but apparently she got Thomas in the 3rd and Johnson in the 4th. I suppose that explains the Thomas pick a bit, but CJ? Even for those that are hesitant to believe he will bounce back, he shouldnt have lasted that long. Not even close.
Nothing in her draft really screamed "horrible" to me. She mostly took players worth taking, risks worth taking, especially in light of what she pulled off early in it. The picks i dislike obviously happened late(Moore, Dalton). Not a fan of Gron but if he produces her team could be terrifyingly good.

Regardless, barring a rash of injuries, i cant see her missing the playoffs. Im fascinated to see what the other teams running backs look like.

I assume the purpose of waivers is so that it's not rewarding the most active players by making it a "first come, first serve" kind of thing. I think it makes sense that it bumps people to the back after they've made a successful claim because it gives other's an opportunity to have a fair shot at dropped players without necessarily having to just be the first one to their computer.

Welp. Apparently it's no longer possible to edit the waivers system. We're on no waivers, and that's that. Had no idea it would lock down that aspect of the league after the draft.

FWIW the system updates itself at like 3 or 3:30 am EST as I recall. My regular league has been on a no waivers system for years. We went waivers for like the first year or two and everybody hated it.

For those that dont know, we have the ability to predict who will win before any match up. Just go to the scoreboard and click "preview", it should be towards the bottom of the page.

I only mention this because it has potential for a new trophy. The "Enduro visionary" award perhaps? For the person that gets the most predictions wrong of course.

Does it log the individual votes, though? Or just tell you the totals? For instance I did the only sensible thing and voted for myself in my upcoming matchup against Harry. All it says is that there's one vote for me and no votes for Harry.

I have a hard time imagining it doesnt track the individual votes. Its been a few years since i played on ESPN, but i vaguely recall it reminding you when you guessed wrong. Not a literal reminder but a red "x" over whatever you selected. Not sure if that can be made public or if it could count throughout the season.

I'm going Sudfeld over Dwayne Allen in the staff league now that the Pats cut Ballard and Fells.

I have the 2nd biggest week 1 line (-40) in that league against Roadrunner, behind Gonzo's -54 against JCane.

In our league it has me losing to Hankey at +11. I like my line-up, though.

Just finished my other league's draft. 12 team, standard scoring except passing touchdowns are worth 6 points. Ended up with some of the same players, unsurprisingly.

Team: DIE AMERICAN PIGDOGS
3 Doug Martin, TB RB
22 Stevan Ridley, NE RB
27 Jimmy Graham, NO TE
46 Dwayne Bowe, KC WR
51 Pierre Garcon, Wsh WR
70 Tony Romo, Dal QB
75 Daryl Richardson, StL RB
94 Chris Givens, StL WR
99 Josh Gordon, Cle WR
118 Pierre Thomas, NO RB
123 Jordan Cameron, Cle TE
142 Mike Tolbert, Car RB
147 Justin Blackmon, Jac WR
166 Christine Michael, Sea RB
171 Buccaneers D/ST D/ST
190 Josh Brown, NYG K

So basically... yeah, the above gif applies to me, too. :bobdole:

Was gonna ask you about how that draft went.

I joined a buddyís 10 man league and I made out a little better in their draft tonight than I did in our league. This group isnít as football savvy as our league, though. There were two girls, who started pretty good but tapered off as we got deeper into the draft. There were also a few early wacky picks like Calvin at 3, A-Rod at 6 and Peyton at 11. Everything's standard except they use 2 flexes. Hereís my roster:

5- Doug Martin RB
16- Stevan Ridley RB
25- Eddie Lacy RB
36- Larry Fitzgerald WR
45- Marques Colston WR
56- Lamar Miller RB
65- Antonio Brown WR

85- Miles Austin WR

That league is not unlike ours, with the divisions set up as "America" vs. "The World". Being half Cuban I'm in the "World" division, along with my brother, a set of Lebanese brothers, a Canadian and a wild card. My brother set the tone for anti-American team names this year by naming his team "North Korea Best Korea" and I was just trying to top that. Unfortunately no one else really followed suit, though. :(

How could I not love that roster? It's like half of my roster from our league!

But yeah, I like everyone on that roster, even the guys that aren't on my team in our league. Well, except Colston. Not crazy about Colston. He was one of the first picks I ever made in my very first fantasy draft ever and he got hurt week one and basically killed my team. I don't think I've ever forgiven him for that, because he hasn't been on a team I've had since. I really went back and forth in our draft between Antonio Brown and Dwayne Bowe. Drafted Brown in ours and Bowe in this one. Don't ask me why.

You got better value than I did, too. I basically throw out the "rankings" they do and start over, which leads to me "reaching" but I just honestly like to get my guys and **** everything else. I figure if I go all sleepers then I'll hit on maybe 60-70% of them and the rest I can just get rid of and fill my roster back up with waiver wire guys. If you only go for a few sleepers then it's truly hit or miss and you end up keeping guys you should get rid of (like I have the last few years keeping Malcolm Floyd on my team. He just sits there and never starts. This year I vowed I wouldn't draft him no matter what, then of course he got injured, robbing me of my chance to say **** you).

 No kidding. Ridley, Fitz, Lacy, Brown, Givens, Gordon; you took a few of those bench guys like Givens a round or two earlier than I was seeing them go in mocks, but luckily these guys (& gals) arenít as tuned in as some of the guys we have here. I feel like Colston's gonna be solid there with Brees, & he did have 10 td's last year but if he doesn't work out than I have Antonio Brown behind him.

I see you took Graham at 27, if I hadnít of taken Graham 1 pick ahead of you in our pofo draft would you have still taken Lacy or gone with Jimmy?

That was the hardest decision I had in this draft I just did. Graham, Wilson and Bebe Thomas were all there at 27. Fantasy is loaded at WR and I knew I'd be doing the Givens/Gordon thing again so I decided to go with Graham and then hope to get a QB with my next pick (which was 46), but by the time that next pick rolled around Cam Newton, Matt Ryan and Colin Kaepernick were all gone.

Andrew Luck and Russell Wilson were both still there at 46, so I went with Bowe. In the five picks before my next pick, both Luck and Wilson went off the board. I just about **** a brick.

You picking Graham certainly made it easier for me. It would have been a really tough call for sure. When you took him though both Wilson and Lacy were there with my pick so I went with Fitzgerald (who was my last WR left at that level -- I rank players in a sort of level system) and fortunately Lacy was still there at my next pick. If you had taken Fitzgerald instead I almost certainly would have taken Graham. If you have him you can almost bank a five point advantage from the TE position over whoever you play. As long as you do your homework and load up on sleepers you're bound to hit on a RB or WR somewhere down the line to help make up the difference of taking Graham early.

The funny thing about both of these drafts is that I didn't end up with David Wilson. If you had asked me at the end of last season to name a player I was sure I'd draft at least once this year, I would have picked David Wilson. The dude is just phenomenal. But... didn't happen.

Honestly, romo was gonna be my fallback option in our draft. I always draft qbs late and romo puts up good numbers in the regular season. My target was stafford but if he wasn't there when I wanted to go qb, I was perfectly happy to go with romo.

I've been commish for my league for more than a decade. Ours is a 12 team PPR league with passing touchdowns being 6 points. Yes, it's very high scoring. Entry fee is $50 with the weekly high points team getting $15 in the head-to-head games. It's a way for every team to stay in it through week 13 to see if you can win the $15 up for grabs. Regular season winner gets $100 with the playoff champ getting the remaining $305. Here's my roster (5th pick) for it:

QB - Matt Ryan
WR - Calvin Johnson
WR - Julio Jones
WR - Jacoby Jones
RB - Lamar Miller
RB - Darren Sproles
TE - Kyle Rudolph
K - Dan Bailey
DEF - Bengals

Bench

WR - Markus Wheaton
WR - Aaron Dobson
QB - Roethlisberger
RB - Bryce Brown
RB - Deangelo Williams
RB - Giovani Bernard

I'm a bit weak in the 3rd WR spot but I'm pretty deep at RB and if I really need a better 3rd WR then I can trade one of my RBs.

Maybe I'm wrong for thinking this but I'm not a huge fan of Sproles this year. In a ppr league he has more value than a standard league, but I believe he's ranked in the low 40's so if you want him you have to sink like a 5th rounder into him and that's too rich for my blood. I have Ingram in all 3 leagues I'm in because based on what I've seen from the Saints in the preseason, he's going to be their primary goal-line ball carrier and I think he'll have a better fantasy year than most people are expecting. He's also going much later in drafts like the 8th, 9th or 10th round.

I think DeAngelo on your bench might have a more productive year than Sproles with Jon Stewart being injured. Gio Bernard might even take over as the primary ball carrier for the Bengals by half way through the year and end up starting for you.

With Williams I learned long ago that you have to take a wait and see approach. He's got to show me something but Stewart being hurt does make him look attractive for a lineup. I banking on Bernard being a PPR dynamo sooner rather than later, a better running version of Sproles. You've undervalued Sproles, especially in PPR format.

I just can't shake the notion that the 3rd WR spot is going to drive me nuts this season.

I would definitely look for good waiver wire additions for that 3rd receiver spot. For now though, that's probably your best bet to ride with Jacoby Jones. Maybe he has another play tonight like he did during the playoffs against the Broncos?

He hits it once for each TD. If you watch it twice.

On pace for 96 TDs for the season. I don't know about you guys but I think he gets there.

He needs to learn self control. He should talk to COphin about how he reacted to Welker's day:

2 catches, 30 yards, 1 fumble, 1 dropped TD :bobdole:

In my buddy's league, I shi!t you not I'm playing a Bronco's homer that's starting Peyton, Demaryius, Welker, AND JULIUS THOMAS.

Not a good start. At least Ray Rice had a decent game.

So lets review my day thus far:

Close to 1pm i log into directv to avoid any potential problems. At 12:58 it kicks me out. Website hasnt worked since.

No worries, they'll fix it shortly. So i jump on ESPN to check Fantasy. Adrian Peterson hits a 78 yard homerun. ****.

Okay, that sucks, but my guys will soon correct it. I decide to stop watching the Jets game(which is even more boring then expected because Tampa is terrible) and throw on the Chiefs game to see how Jamaal is doing. First play is a designed screen to Charles. That was what is was suppose to be, but Smith gunned it straight into a coach on the sideline. Would have smacked the guy straight in the face had Charles not gotten his fingertips on it.

Fine, **** you Alex. I find a stream for the Dolphins game. Its one of Clevelands punts. It goes to commercial break. First commercial? Directv sunday ticket.

Because of ****ing course. :bobdole:

A lot of that going around. Half of COphin's team is playing subpar. It just so happens the second half of his team went ****ing insane. Goddamned Peterson and Green. I can understand Adrian...but a guy catching passes from Andy Dalton? :bobdole:

And while we are bitching: i benched Jordan Cameron to go with Jared Cook. Cook just caught the ball, had nothing but open field in front of him, but decided to half ass it into the endzone only to get stripped by Honeybadger at the 1. Thanks for rewarding my faith jackass.

Who was going to trade for him? The "worst" starting QBs in our league are Wilson and Luck. His only hope was to wait for an injury, meanwhile he has Darren McFadden with only Ronnie Hilman to back him up. Once McFadden got hurt he was only going to get a worse deal.

Don't get me wrong, the trade was lopsided. It was also the best he was going to do.

I guess. Just seemed like a very lopsided trade where you didn't have to give up a whole lot to get a great QB.

On a side note, what the hell happened to Spiller and Ridley for you? They were invisible today.

Tell me about it. An abomination. Fitzgerald's two TDs probably going to keep me from an embarrassing loss.

Remember a few years ago when Michael Vick had that ridiculous game versus the Redskins? Had the biggest QB fantasy day of all time, I think. I had Vick that year and lost that week.

I have Ridley in my other league, too. That's going to be another close one. Have Pierre Garcon in both leagues so I'm hoping for a couple of long touchdowns from him. Have never been a fan of Griffin but I'll be rooting for him hard on Monday.

Oh, Fantasy Football. The things you make me do.
