I'm not worried. It's a bit late for Baltimore to jump in considering that David is currently in Miami and will sign a new contract soon.

Plus, David wants to be in Miami. He will probably agree to an incentive based contract with the Dolphins, but not with the Ravens.

Bogus link. Fake story. Notice when you move the cursor it says error at the bottom of you page in your status bar. ESPN pages don't do that.

Guys, I am usualy content to read and be quiet, but thats a fake link. I mean its an Angelfire website, not ESPN. He coppied the page info and put it on his website. Go check out ESPN.com, dont you think they would have this info on the front of their football area? Not to mention the decision is gonna be tommorow anyways. Nice try fella, but shame on you.

anglefire is free web hosting. It's a well fabricated page, links all work, etc. outside of the bad spelling. Basically, you or me could create a web page and put it up there, tell tale sign it's not from ESPN.

agreed, but in this case he didn't mean to (or so I assume). I do however suggest he changes the name of this thread to TO Hoax etc. etc. or soemthing, to prevent future people from being fooled.

Thank god. All it takes is for the Ravens to jump in and offer that 2nd round pick and it would screw us all up in the negotiations, could delay it a bunch.

Told ya. NFL (Tags) would find a way to make TO a FA.

[Edit] Oooops. Too quick to pat myself on the back there. Well, glad it was bogus.

"I'm going to Philly baby!" said an excited Owens in a telephone interview late Monday afternoon. "Time to get my midnight green jersey on, so Philly fans, be sure you get your popcorn ready."

 I can't believe people on the Ravens board believed that story after that part.

Nah, for a couple of reasons.

1. By all reports, the Chargers and Dolphins have a deal, and you don't bail after an agreement is reached.

2. The only way a deal is possible is if D-Bo renegotiates, and he wants to come to Miami.

KFFL report

NFL | Upshaw Feels Upbeat About Owens' Case - from www.KFFL.com
Mon, 15 Mar 2004 17:09:27 -0800

Jay Glazer, of SportsLine.com, says NFLPA union chief Gene Upshaw feels good about the union's case following the Monday, March 15 arbitration hearing for Baltimore Ravens WR Terrell Owens, believing that the result of the hearing could make Owens a free agent Tuesday, March 16. "We have a strong position and hopefully the arbitrator will see it our way," Upshaw said

The Chargers want Boston to restructure, Boston wants to be reunited with his old coach in Miami. It will take cooperation for both sides to get what they want

Compromise might preempt Owens arbitration decision

The Terrell Owens saga has taken yet another curious turn.

Multiple sources within the T.O. arbitration hearing told SportsLine.com that the parties involved are discussing different settlements to resolve the situation. One scenario could include the 49ers returning the Ravens' second-round pick while receiving another pick -- likely a third-rounder from whichever team signs the Pro Bowl wideout.

In addition, the Ravens would receive another compensatory pick for their trouble in this escapade.

"I'd say there's a 50-50 chance of something like this getting agreed upon to present to the player," said one source. "There's nothing concrete yet but that's one scenario, along those lines."
