I have having my fantasy football draft already for the season because I am in the military, and most of the people in my league are going to Saudi or another area in the Mid-East and won't be able to tdo the draft before the season starts. This is a keeper league from last year, and every team gets to keep 3 players of there roster from last year. This is what I have so far.

QB Daunte Culpepper

RB Ricky Williams

RB Shaun Alexander(Acquired via trade for 1st round Draft pick + a 5th and a 10th, in exchange for S.A. a 11th and a 13th)

WR Randy Moss

What do you guys think so far??

I will post my whole team tomorrow night after the draft and ask your guys opinion on my final roster.

Thanks for reading my OR not readiing not-so-important post!!

It's always nice to have the QB-WR off the same team thing. I just hope that Moss and Culpepper hold up for you!!

Solid squad. How many teams are in your league??

After Randy Moss it looks like you may be real thin at WR. McAffery will not be the same player he was before his leg was buzzsawed last season. Robinson also has a very bad back and may be cut after june 1, although he did just restructure. How much he sees the field is a mystery. Lelie is a rookie, and in FF i learned the hard way that Rookie receivers just don't put up the desired #s. If Reggie Wayne has progressed than Ismail is lookin at the #3 WR in Indy, and that will vastly reduce his fantasy value.

If I were you I would be all over the waiver wire looking for a good, reliable WR, just in case. If everything goes perfectly for you, then you are in good shape, but too much needs to happen for your WRs to be good.

Just the opinion of a non-professional monday morning QB.

FOR THATHURMANATOR: There are 8 teams in the league.

FOR Dolfan984: Well I'll put it to you this way. If Ed McCaffrey is not the same, then guess who steps in.......Ashlie Lelie.

Heh if I had the chance I would hope to get Dallas' D. They were #4 last year and they upgraded well enough for that #1 shot.

Chambers.....

if McAffery goes down, Rob Moore, not Lelie will step in. Lelie is no better than #4 on their depth chart right now.

Sure, OK whatever, Rob Moore, we'll see.

They signed him to be the #3 WR and to step in if McAffery came back slower than expected. Lelie, by ALL accounts, is very RAW. Does that mean he wont produce? Probobly not this year, but a lot of people said the same of Chambers. I just wouldn't want to have to rely on a rookie at the WR position, that is all.

Hey it's your team and you can do what you like with it, you just asked for feedback and I gave you some. take it for what it is worth.

TRUE, BUT we only start 2 WRs a week, so Randy Moss and Ed MacCarffey would be my 2 starters right now, AND A broken Leg is a hell of a lot easier to come back to form, than say a Torn ACL. You may be right, BUT I got Marcus Robinson, and Qadry Ismail at the last couple of rounds.

If I were you, chambers, I would drop Staley and see if Buckhalter is around. The word is that Buckhalter will play more than Staley this year so I would check that out. Don't count Staley on getting many touches.

The only thing Buckhalter is going to get more of is surgeries!!!! hehee

Why would you want a RB that is out for the year with a torn ACL, an injury that is very hard to come back from and it is rare that anyone ever comes back 100% from it (ask Jamal Anderson)

And consider the fact that he just tore it a few weeks ago in mini camp I would say he is done for this year for sure.

He is done for this season for sure. ACL tears take something like 9 months to heal I think.

biron produced nearly the same #'s as Hasek but made over $7 million less.... we made out well IMO... even w/ hasek the rest of our team wouldn't be able to score

and yes let's get back to america's TRUE passtime

THATHURMANATOR
05-06-2002, 08:40 PM
Seriously Biron's stats were just as good as Hasek's but he didn't have as good of a team in front of him.

I may be a little late on this one , but having McCaffery and Moss as your starters????? I think you need to look to a more dependable WR i.e. Terrell Owens! I had Moss last year on my fantasy team and to say inconsistincy isn't bad enough to describe his reliability. With McCaffery there is no telling what his physical state will be after comming back from such an injury.

As for you dilemma with Buckhalter and Staley (which I had to deal with last season) your best bet would be to stay far from that mess, with Corell injured and Duce with a questionable start look for Priest Holmes to take care of you....and he will! Now stay out of my leauge!!!!
