20:26 PT: New York Jets.com reports LB Sam Cowart (Achilles'), C Kevin Mawae (shoulder surgery) and QB Vinny Testaverde (toe) will miss the team's upcoming off-season practices. “Those three guys are veterans who will attend all the meetings and be around at practice,” coach Herman Edwards said. “Kevin will probably be out until training camp (the second week), but will be fine. Sam Cowart is still doing individual work and might do some things as far as team wise, but not competitive when we go against each other. He is coming along.”

20:24 PT: New York Jets.com reports the team will begin their off-season practices Tuesday. The Jets call them Organized Team Activity or OTAs. Players and coaches will be on the field Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week and next. They will then have six OTAs over the first three weeks of June. QB Chad Pennington will take all the snaps with the Jets first-team offense while QB Vinny Testaverde continues to revover from off-season toe surgery. Coach Herman Edwards believes his two quarterbacks are becoming more familiar with offensive coordinator Paul Hackett’s offense.

19:13 PT: Buffalo Bills.com reports TE Jay Riemersma said Monday he expects his situation with the team to be cleared up shortly. "I just hope that this all gets resolved as quickly as possible, said seven-year veteran. "I'm up here in good faith, just trying to earn a spot just like everybody else is out here." He thinks everything will be resolved in the next week or so and "everyone will be happy with whatever happens." He wants to remain in Buffalo.

19:08 PT: Buffalo Bills.com reports WR Eric Moulds is excited about the arrival of QB Drew Bledsoe in Buffalo. "It's extremely exciting for me, said Moulds. "I'm just going to go out there and work hard. Drew loves to throw the ball deep so I think we're going to have some exciting times out there at Ralph Wilson Stadium." Bledsoe will give Moulds a QB that will be able to make adjustments and take advantage of his talents.

14:04 PT: The New York Times reports the New York Jets would like to use WRs Santana Moss and Laveranues Coles as the outside receivers this year while utilizing Wayne Chrebet inside at the slot receiver position.

Bills | Centers Shows Up for Minicamp - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
13:56 PT: Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills FB Larry Centers joined the team during Monday's minicamp workouts. There had been speculation that Centers wouldn't show up because he was one of the team's veterans that received an excused absence from head coach Gregg Williams and because there has been some talks of him being unhappy with his contract, which will pay him $800,000 in base salary this year, the final year of his deal with the team.

13:56 PT: Associated Press reports Buffalo Bills OT John Fina wasn't at the team's Monday minicamp workouts. There has been speculation that he may be released in a salary cap cutting move in June 1 but head coach Gregg Williams said there isn't anything to read into by Fina not being present.
