I can't see the fight. But I was watching the TNT halftime show and Charles Barkley cut in the middle saying "Roy Jones just got knocked out!!".

Apparently it was a big left hook very early in the fight. 2nd round. And Tarver took him out!! Out cold before he hit the canvas. Tarver got jobbed the first time. This time he leaves no doubt!!

Anybody got a screen cap of this?? Details?? I'll move this ASAP. But this is HUGE!!

EDIT: Here's the knockout (http://muck.finheaven.com/stuff/videos/TarverKO.mpg)

And here's a replay (http://muck.finheaven.com/stuff/videos/TarverKO(replay).mpg)

This SUCKS.
And no, he didn't get jobbed the first time. *Most* people had Roy winning a close, close fight. You can make an argument either way.
Anyway, I didn't see it, but I'm dissapointed as hell. Roy, you let a lot of people down. Oh well....

And I thought Tarver was a loudmouth BEFORE the fight. We're never gonna hear the end of it from him. It pains me to say this, but----congrats to Antonio Tarver.

Sorry dude. I got nothing against Roy. But it's like ESPN says, "15 years of dominance crumbled with one punch".

Amazing.

True, this changes his whole legacy. He was as close to invincible as I've ever seen. And I've seen tapes of almost all fighters past & present.

What really sucks is that ESPN is not allowed to show the knockout punch in their highlights. Thank you Don King

If I'm able to acquire a cap, I'll post the video here. I MUST see it.

It is crazy how the legacy will have a big smudge on it. The guy was dominant for a long, long time. Took 15 years for him to even get tested. Now he's been destroyed.

That would be sweet if you could get it. I can't wait a whole week for the replay.

Usually it goes to HBO a week later. But this was a Don King production, so I think he can sell the replay rights to the highest bidder. I assume that would be HBO, but I'm not 100% sure.

Tarver is a real good fighter. After the first four minutes, you can see the same difficulty Jones had trying to get through to Tarver as the first fight. The best part of the fight was when they were standing face to face before the fight started, and when the ref asked if either fighter had any questions, Tarver replied, "Yea I have a question...whats going to be your excuse this time Roy!" It was something around that cause I was pretty hammered when the fight started.

I also heard that Zab Judah looked bad (again), yet still won.

This is the classic picture muck, a punch on the face to Jones and his cocky attitute which im glad he lost.

Oooooooof. I wonder if Roy Jones let his head get too big and lost his edge. This is a devastating blow to him. My bet is he starts pounding some lesser known opponenets for awhile and begs for a rematch while Tarver ignores him.

I wanna see the left hook that ended an era.

I'm kinda glad he got served too. I want to see the post-fight interview. They said Roy was humble and classy.

Woohooo!!

Jones finally beaten. Maybe he'll stop the third person "servant of God" crap now.

Great fighter, but never tested himself as much as he should.

Tarver looks a handy boxer...

It's a strange sight seeing Roy Jones hurt like that, but that was a PERFECT punch. Unbelievable.

Did anyone catch that last night? Mr. I'm God in Boxing Shorts got his *** handed to him by the guy that should've beat him last time. Wow that punch was a beauty, did you see his knees buckle? Priceless.

Check out the "other sports" section. There's a a whole thread on it.
BTW, Roy Jones is no cockier than any other great fighter. Ali, Hopkins, Duran,Toney (and others) all had/have similiar attitudes. None of them believe they can be beat until it actually happens.

Yup and the cocky attitude makes them money, and gets them fans

For the rest of the day pigskinguy will honor Roy Jones Jr. By refeering to himself in the third person.
pigskinguy thinks that maybe Jones came in a little cocky for this fight, and possibly looking ahead to what could of happened once he won. (Heading to the heavyweight division.) Unfortunately, pigskinguy think this might tarnish his legacy just a bit.
