Damn, I didn't know you were such a p*$$Y CW.

I like Badge and Crossroads better than Sunshine. I guess cuz I played it out as a kid teaching myself guitar. I'm guessing my parents, and anyone else in the house, grew to hate that song too.

I've got nothing else useful to say......

sorry dude, if you're referring to the lack of metal I have in the list, that's because most of it sucks...80s metal was decent I guess.

I love Slayer, they are the best metal band of the last 20 years IMO.

another couple songs I forgot:
Slayer - Raining Blood
Motley Crue - Too Young to Fall in Love(best song ever  )

Smashing Pumpkins - Today

Makes me think back to high school, listening to that song in my friend's car. All the great rock songs from '93-'95 that take me back to my early high school years.

Glad someone around here appreciates David Byrne.:) For the past month or so I've had "In the bush of ghosts" cited in the location field beneath my avatar, and no one mentioned knowledge of what it meant.

Title of a somewhat obscure but prescient and influential 1981 experimental collaboration by Byrne and Eno.
A quick review and 30 second samples (http://entertainment.msn.com/album/?album=111976)

CW... given your interests, you should take my word and grab a copy of this, smoke whatever burns nicely... and listen to it 6 times straight.

This album (yes, 1981 meant albums) presaged a lot of world-music, trance, techno and sampled music's popularity. Unfortunately, the moron who clipped the 30 second samples for the above link totally failed to capture the creative dynamics of the album. They basically only play the rhythms or lead-ins, without showing how Byrne/Eno overlayed this with found voice tracks from a range of sources which they then repeated and manipulated in various eerie ways to merge with the instrumentation and build to some very engaging culminations.

CW... from what I know of you... you just HAVE to find this record... light up... and integrate your whole being with what these guys were doing over 20 years ago. Trust me.

Know it well.:) I pretty much wore out my cassettes of True Stories and Little Creatures back in the 80's. Great to get you through time spent driving, or just starting to get a friday night going.
