Please explain how Daunte Culpepper doesn't make the top 5

He's top 10 no doubt, he just missed the cut along with Pennington Brooks etc., but can you really justify him replacing anyone on that list? All those guys have reached the championship game at least, and in 2001 I could have quarterbacked that Minnesota team to the playoffs.

Any of them. Except for Manning. Culpepper puts up more fantasy points than.
My top 5
Manning
Culpepper
Vick
Favre
McNabb/McNair

But anyway you slice it Culpepper has to be there.

So what. I thought we were talking Fantasy Football here. If not than I stand corrected. and pretty much agree.

I wasn't basing the rankings on fantasy values, Culpepper would definitely replace Brady, I was basing them on how good I think they are. Brady may not have the arm but his accuracy and decision making are top notch.

I think the easy way to look at this is to ask your self this question - If I was the GM of a brand new team, who would I pick at each position?

Peyton Manning would be my first choice of any player closely followed by LT if we didn't have Ricky and Ray Lewis if we did.

Last year's league-leading rusher is conspicuously missing. I don't think I'd put him at #1, but Jamal Lewis is definately better than Ahman Green.

The only reason I didn't put him on there was because Green has been performing at a very high level for a few years now as have the others (Portis and LT haven't done it for that long but what they have done is incredible). Plus with his off-field concerns and knee, I couldn't rank him above the others because of one amazing season.

Green's stats are eerily similar to Lewis' - even year by year. They even had the same YPC average last year. I guess the only real difference between the two is the team each plays for - the Packers are actually a threat to pass. That could be why Green got the yards he did. While with Lewis, you knew he was going to carry the ball, you lined up to stop him - and couldn't.

I understand your concerns about his off-field issues, but Lewis ran all over everybody even when they knew he was coming. Except during the Ravens' biggest game of the year...
