Sorry that this is short notice, however, Muck & I have been very busy with a couple of things to be mentioned later :D.

In any case, if you want tickets (and can go to the game!) then please read further. This contest is for TWO tickets in section 411, row 5, seats 15 & 16. This contest also includes ONE free parking pass. So, go to this game on us! :cooldude:

Again, this is for two tickets and a parking pass for Saturday, 8/14 vs. Jacksonville at 7:30pm.

Here is the question. And... if you know the answer and you know for a fact that you can't go... then PLEASE be quiet.

During Zach Thomas' 1st career game as a pro (1996), he made a monstrous hit on an offensive player, knocking said player unconscious.

Name said KO'd player.

------------------------------------------------

First person to answer correctly wins the tickets. Tickets will be mailed to arrive by Friday.

Sincerely,
Andrew Tatum

I think I've heard of this.

Shawn Jefferson. Do I get the credit for spelling it correctly? ;)

It was indeed Shawn Jefferson. Zach drilled him on a reverse on the near sideline. :)

FIN-ATIC wins, as he got there two minutes faster. Enjoy your tickets!!

Thanks!
Wow...I actually did it from memory. It was making me crazy I couldn't remember. I just kept seeing teh hit, the guy laying there and his arm was all torqued up from the nerve reaction due to the impact. It was a nasty hit. All I could think of was Brisby , but I knew it didn't sound right. Then I remembered.

Alright guys! How do I get the tix?

It was scary I thought Jefferson was dead or paralyzed.

He also knocked one of his own teammates in training camp, running back Kareem-Abdul-Jabar. Knocked out his first year as a fin. I also remember Kareem saying he thought he was paralyized for a moment.

I forgot about that!! But it's true. Zach KO'd Karim in training camp. And Karim said he was paralyzed for about 15 seconds. Said his whole future flashed before his eyes in those brief moments (what it will be like to be in a wheelchair, how his life will change, etc).

Me too. It was crazy. Jefferson was out before he hit the ground. I remember right after the hit, they switched over to the camera that just happened to be RIGHT THERE on the sidelines. And I remember seeing Zach just get up, turn around, and robotically walk away like some kind of caveman. I remember going down to camps every day and watching this kid tear it up. And then when he knocked out Jefferson, it was like "Ok, there's no doubt anymore. No fluke. This kid is going to be special for a long time". It was AWESOME!!

I think each person should be limited to one response with no edittng allowed or else it is a DQ. Not because of Fin-Atic winning, congrats to him, but because of the problem it can bring. People could post 100 names and get it right. Have fun at the game Fin-Atic...take some picks for us :)

Speaking of undersized hard hitting linebackers, I read in the Palm Beach Post that Tony Bua hit someone so hard in training camp their shoulder pads busted! Man I hope he turns out like Zack.
