View Full Version : Merged 2x: Bills Injury: Losman carted off field

Just reported on ESPN news channel - Losman carted off field with a lower left leg injury after being hit on a play by Vincent.

I'm sure someone will pounce on this opportunity to suggest trading Fiedler for Henry....

Jimmy James

Hey, if the Bills would take it, even I wouldn't be opposed... ;)

I do feel for Losman and hope it isn't anything serious. I never like to see injuries...even when it's a Jet/Bill/Patriot.

JP Losman of the Buffalo Bills was carted off the field today after Troy Vincent hit him in the leg. I guess it is his lower left leg that is injured. Eric Moulds also missed practice due to some shoulder tweak. The Losman injury sounds serious.

I only post this due to the rivalry and how happy most of them were when Boston went down. I find it ironic that a former Dolphin ( Vincent ) is still taking out Buffalo Qb's.

In all seriousness though, I hope Losman is ok. You never want to see a guy get hurt like that.

You guys serious, the Bills and Jets and Pats fans trash us all year about our problem and injuries, then a player goes down as we feel sorry for the guy. He is a cocky SOB, that thought he is the greatest thing to ever touch a football. I'm glad to see a guy like that go down. I mean, I don't like Tom Brady, I don't like him at all, but I respect the guy for his attitude on football, he doesn't go out of his way to say how good he is, or thinks he is, he just plays football. I don't like Losman. The Bills are having their problems with injuries and trade requests, finally, someone takes a little off the Dolphins.

I don't think anyone should wish for and laugh at injuries....of course you will always have a small contingent of fans from any team that laughs when you get injuries and unfortunately it carries with it the perception that all the fans of that particular team are like that, and that's not the case.....why stoop to the level of some immature fans and laugh when another team sustains injuries to their players

I have no doubt Bills fans were yucking it up when Boston was hurt; they're generally a classless bunch of dufuses, along with Jets fans and bandwagon Patsy fans. We've got more class than Bills' fans. Take pride in that. You don't laugh at a serious injury, regardless of which team suffers. Think of the individual whose career is threatened rather than the team.

Otherwise, you're just making baseless allegations in a reckless manner. I'm certainly no doctor, but I have had a broken fibula that took around that long to heal in the past. If his injury is like mine, the positive side should be that there will be no lingering effects after several weeks of rehabbing the injury. :)

Damn... Vincent didn't even hit him in the leg according to that link....and it seems to infer that he just "knocked him over".....that's a weird way to break a leg.

In one way, i'm sad about this, because I really like Losman. He has done well in the preseason games, and he is a bit cocky, which is a trait I admire in a QB. I was looking forward to watching him play.

It could be a blessing in disguise, this basically means he won't be forced to come in if Bledsoe sucks it up. Its never good to throw a rookie into the first early in his career... This secures his spot on the bench for this year and gives him time to learn and study the game.

Losman broke his leg and is out indefinately, which leaves the Bills in the same place as they were last season with the worst QB in the AFC East. Any how this is significant because alot of people were talking of him actually starting. The Bills still suck McGahee still has one leg, and Donahoe still hasn't done a damn thing, just think of the crap Spielman would get for wasting a 1st rder for a RB when the RB you have is the best player on the team, signing a washed up safety to a ridiculous deal, and drafting a backup linemen with the 4th overall pick.

Thats two positions out of nine. Perhaps it is not a miracle that the defense was good in spite of their play.

By your reasoning, Travis Henry must suck because the Bills offense did. Thats the funny thing about a team game.

Okay I dont get what your saying in the first paragraph, but you still seem to think that we gave away a #1 for Losman. No... we used a #1 on Losman. Look at this:

Buffalo gets:

Dallas 2004 1st Rd. Pick

Dallas gets:

Buffalo 2005 1st Rd. Pick

Buffalo 2004 2nd Rd. Pick

Buffalo 2004 5th Rd. Pick

Note that Buffalo still has the same amount of first round picks they had before the trade, just in a different year.

When you use a draft pick on a player, you are giving up the pick for the player. Trade, draft selection, doesn't matter.
How do you figure? When you buy a soda, do you consider it giving away a dollar? You use the dollar. You get something in return. You don't just give it away.

Where did I say they were given away for nothing? I said they were given up for a player. They were exchanged for a player. Whether that happens in a trade or by a draft selection is immaterial.

The Bills exchanged a single 1st round draft pick for Bledsoe and a 1st, 2nd, and 5th for Losman.

BTW, you don't get to keep the dollar either.

Here is the third definiton of the word "give"

To deliver in exchange or recompense; pay: gave five dollars for the book.

So, YES YOU ARE WRONG!

I agree, in the end, Losman cost the Bills three picks.

BuffRangePigpen objected to my use of the verb 'give' and then pointed me to an online dictionary that provided the exact definition that I was using. Strange....

If you *can* see he is on steroids, you need to stop posting on this board and write your own check as a steroids expert for track & field, the NFL, or whoever else will give you the best deal. Otherwise, you're just making baseless allegations in a reckless manner. While we all have our suspicions of many athletes in this day and age, we can't go pointing fingers like this unless we have FACTS to back them up.Bravo....very well said bro!
