All those in Florida stay safe! We've gotten the remnants of all the hurricanes that have hit florida so far, looks like we're gonna get some of Jeanne too. But it's nothing compared to the beating Flordia has taken.

Latest from local news: Hurricane expected to strengthen before landfall....could get as strong as a category 4 right before landfall, but likely it will be a cat. 3 at landfall....

Amazing...this hurricane wasn't even supposed to bother us...but it has. It was just going north with no problems when all of the sudden it stopped dead, made a complete circle and is coming straight for us. It's as if it was going by and said "Oh wait , there's Florida...maybe I should go pay a visit."

It must SUCK with all these Hurricanes. I hate when it rains, let alone huge storms. Florida has my sympathies.

Just wanted to lighten the mood up a bit....does anyone else love watching those poor reporters that they throw out there during the middle of the hurricane? You know the ones...they're wearing the rain slickers...struggling to stand upright. I feel bad for these people sometimes. There's always that smartas* newscaster, sitting in the safety of the studio, saying "So Bob...what's it like out there?" "Well Tom it's freakin' windy...rain feels like needles piercing the flesh on my face...there's no power so it's pitch black...I think I just saw a Toyota tossed about 30 feet next to me...I'd say it's pretty damn bad!" cut to shot of newscaster with a smirk on his face, chuckling his evil chuckle! :fire:

"Not since Texas in 1886 has one state has been struck by four hurricanes in a season." - quote from MSNBC.com

All these hurricanes coming through right after the other is crazy. And what's up with these weird paths with Ivan and now Jeanne doing circles and making b-lines for FL?

I'm near the coast, EAST of that big ol' Lake Okachobee.... Doesn't look good for me....the only thing i care about is the occurance of a miracle, in which my power stays on so I can watch the game whenever it ends up being played....

AirChambers your hardcore!

You probably would go to the game if it was played in the middle of Jeanne huh? I would be worried about alot more than power to watch the game.

All joking aside I can't imagine whats it will be like for you guys in Florida i sincerly hope you all keep safe.

There are only three constants in life Death, Taxes and Dolphin fans b*tching about the team.

Everyone stay safe from someone in West Palm Beach!

The good news, if there is any, is that this will be a quick one, unlike Francis that basically stalled as it came ashore.

Here's hoping everyone in Florida stays safe during the latest hurricane. I've only had to deal with a minor volcanic dusting in the past 2 weeks (Mount Asama, Japan). Fortunately for me all the major typhoons (Pacific for Hurricane) that have come through this year have gone south and hit okinawa, Taiwan, and the coast of China. It's a bad year for storms world-wide. Below is the latest. As a former Floridian with lots of relatives in Florida I hope everyone makes it through safely and there's as little damage as possible. Of course, if everything goes well, there'll be a game tomorrow night too!

Many posters are probably without power now. My folks are on the southside of Lake Okeechobee. They lost theirs last night. Fortunately, they've got a big, loud diesel generator hooked up. They didn't play around after the last one.

Heh, the last time I ran from a hurricane, it followed me to Orlando (Charley).

What kills me is that all these damn hurricanes have to hit on the weekend. I mean, it's bad enough that we're getting 4 hurricanes in 5 weeks. But do they have to hit on the weekend?? When we're off work and salivating for football??

I havent lost power yet so I'm good for now....

I'd just like to salute my apartment complex for being responsible...they DEFINITELY wanted to make sure that the grass around the community was watered, so they had the sprinklers going FULL BLAST last night....

WAy to go University House!
