Wow...we agree about a baseball issue after all. Pudge is a worthy heir to that catcherly nickname and a hell of a player.

IMO, had we had Pudge all year we would have made the playoffs. Lo Duca is good but he is no Pudge. I missed him all season. But I am happy to see that Lowell will be staying as a Marlin since I thought he was going to leave...I am pretty sure Pavano and Benitez are gone though...:(

I agree on what you are saying about Pudge... In an article from ESPN:

Catcher Ivan Rodriguez (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=4680), who helped revitalize the Detroit Tigers (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=det) this season, on Tuesday earned his 11th Rawlings Gold Glove award, breaking the record for backstops held by Johnny Bench.

It was the first Gold Glove honor in three years for Rodriguez, who won 10 straight for the Texas Rangers (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=tex) from 1992-2001. Anaheim's Bengie Molina (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?statsId=6026) ended Rodriguez's streak in 2002 and repeated last year when Rodriguez helped lead the Florida Marlins (http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/clubhouse?team=fla) to the World Series title. The Cardinals' Mike Matheny won the NL's Gold Glove at catcher in 2003.
