There has been a lot of talk on here about who we should get at RB and it is interesting to me to see all of the different opinions. So my question is, assuming that we do not trade down in the draft, who would you like to see at RB next year for the phins keeping in mind the likely cost (both trade wise and cap wise) that the player would require. Also keep in mind the likelyhood that we could pull off a deal for a particular player. So the options would be Edge, Alexander, Henry, ect. or a RB selected at the number two spot or a RB later in the draft, or stick with what we have. I, myself, am having a hard time deciding what I think the phins should do, so I am looking to see the thoughts of others on the subject.

depends on a lot of things... my best case if we could have 2 first round picks...

id want gordon/morris/1st round rookie draft pick (cadillac, benson, ronnie brown, etc)

if we cant get 2 first rounders, id take lamont jordan through FA... jordan/gordon/morris... hes the least worked out of all the FA rbs available so we dont have t owaste a high draft pick on a RB

Lamont Jordan.

Too many good backs in FA that would allow us to use the top pick on a position of need - OL, DL, trade

I just hope if we hafta stay at #2 we take Rodgers if he's available, as apposed to a RB. Through Free Agency i'd prefer we go after Lamont Jordan or Rudi Johnson before Edge or Alexander. I really wouldn't mind seeing us bring Minor back and keep the same 3 (w/Gordon & Morris) behind an improved line.

McClendon from N.C. State or Harris from WV in the 3rdThat's funny you said McClendon, cuz he's related to my good friend here in Cali!!! And we're both Finsfans----so we've discussed the possibilities of TJ (his cousin) going to Miami in the 4th round---we're looking or hoping for McPherson in the 3rd!!! He's a great back but he's been dinged up his last 2 seasons at NC State (that could be a blessing in disguise for him)....... He'll come cheap as teams will pass on him cuz of questions with durability...... Interesting pick though!!! Or Either of the Auburn Backs!!!!

LaMont Jordan have him split time with Lamar Gordan and Sammy Morris. We don't need to sign a big name free agent or top draft pick to come in and have 300+ carries a year. This offensive system is designed for a multiple back, backfield. Look at Minnesota.

Personally, I like to see L. Jordan. He would be the feature back with Gordon and Morris in support if we go the FA route. If we go draft, McLendon or someone of that nature in the 3rd/4th round to get a few carries with Gordon as the feature back. Linehan is used to RBC so it wouldn't be too much to adjust to.

Bump.. I personally believe that Carnell Williams would be a better RB in Camerons offense than Ronnie Brown. Bumping this just for kicks.

Not me, I think Ronnie's ability to catch the ball puts him well above Carnell in this offense.

Exactly....

What does CW bring that RB does not? RB is the better runner and receiver....

Better receiver yes, better runner no. Cadillac can make people miss and break big runs for frequently than Ronnie can.

Funny considering both have the same amount of 20+'s (11) in their respective careers
