Now, everyone on this site has at least one thing in common......we LOVE the Phins (except the other Bills fans that have nuthing better to do then come on here)

But something most of us dont have in common is what college team you root for, I know most of you will pick the Hurricanes considering most of you live in/near Miami, but just tell me who you root for during college ball)

As you can see for my sig and avatar I LOVE the Wolverines!! :D

I made a poll, so if your team isnt there just check off other and tell us who they are in your post....sorry if I forgot your team!!!

P.S. My 2nd favorite is Texas as-well

THEIR GAMES ARE NUTS!!

their stadium is huge.....there was like 147,000 people when I went, there's no seats either, its all benches, thats why you can fit so many people, you should seriously try to get there for a game!

Yea, damn that sounds intense. I really wanted to go to one this year, and watch one with Braylon there (my favorite player). All I know is next year, with Hart and Henne, we are going to be amazing.

I was born and raised a Miami fan which makes going to FSU tough. I still root for FSU unless they are playing Miami or if them losing helps Miami in some way. But like I tell everyone up here, I was a die hard UM fan for 18 years, I can't just give all that up because of where I go to school.

I'm a fan of the Oregon Ducks all the way back to the days of Dan Fouts and Bobby Moore (Ahmad Rashad). I do also supprt the Beavers, when they play anyone but the Ducks. :)
Back in the late 60s and thru the 70s, I cheered for LSU when guys like John Sage, Ronnie Estay, Bert Jones and AJ Duhe played for them. They produced some great players back then.

After watching the way Iowa has played since Ferentz has been the head coach, it makes it easy to want to support them too.
I also like the types of teams that Pat Hill puts on the field at Fresno State.

My primary rooting interest in I-A NCAA football is the ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE, but I also support WVU's Mountaineers. I root for THE College of William & Mary Tribe in I-AA, the University of Puget Sound Loggers in DIII, and for my University of Richmond Spiders in basketball.

Canes. My dad started taking me to games when I was early in elementary school. He couldn't get me to pay attention until he pointed out #89 and said, "Watch him on every play." I thought all the players were the same. Then I see this huge #89 tossing everyone aside and then grabbing the ball away, almost as an afterthought. That was Ted Hendricks, at left end #89.

Canes are at least tenfold over my second team, my alma mater USC. I hated USC until it was obviously the best place for me to go to school considering the weather, babes, athletic department, journalism program, student newspaper and half scholarship. Still, none of my friends could believe I was actually going there. I used to diss 'SC while calling Miami radio sports talk shows from maybe age 8.

My third team, albeit distant, would be Notre Dame. I'm probably the only person who likes Miami, USC and Notre Dame. I was an Oklahoma diehard in the '70s and '80s during the wishbone era, but now I root against them.

The only team I despise is Florida. My dad taught me that, very properly, at maybe age 3.

Just about any team from Florida. The below are in order.
Miami because they were the team I grew up near.
Air Force because I did 20.
UCF Golden Knights because I lived in Orlando for a little while and I like underdogs.
Florida because I was going to go to college there, and also because my cousin went there.
Florida State because it's a Florida Team and you always want the interstate rivalries to be good games.

Needed to allow for multiple options in the poll. I'm a USC and Auburn fan. Love to watch USC but I have always liked Auburn going back to the Bo Jackson, Lionel "night train" James days. Always root for them against Alabama.

I love college football. I'm also a bit of a Michigan fan (that sounds incongruous, being a USC fan). But, I have been watching Bowl games since 1967 and I crave the traditional matchups of college football:

Michigan/Ohio St V USC/UCLA in the Rose Bowl. Nothing like it. The 70's afforded some tremendous matchups there.

There is a shot for a Michigan/USC Rose Bowl National Championship this year - but it's a bit unlikely. Even if USC goes undefeated, they may not make it in the game b/c their competition may not be that strong this year.

Rivalry games are the best - Mich-Ohio St.; Auburn-Alabama; USC-UCLA; Okla-Texas; Okla-Neb.(loved the '71 game - Johnny Rodgers is the greatest college player I ever saw); FSU-Miami; Texas-Ark. (the '69 UT-UA game was one of the greatest ever).
