View Full Version : Which Teams Will Go to the Superbowl this Year?!?!

Post who you think the Superbowl is gunna be between and why...

I think I will be the Ravens vs. the Vikings

Ravens - Their D was sick as we all know and went out and made it better! they lost Gary Baxter and went out and signed Samari Rolle. The only problem they had was their passing game and they went out and got Derrick Mason and drafted Mark Clayton. They still have Heap and J. Lewis and their offense should great. It all comes down to Kyle Boller but I think he will be ready this year to break out especially with all the weapons surrounding him.

Vikings - They loaded up their D in every position! All 4 players in their secondary are probowlers (Smoot, Winfield, Sharper and Chavous) and their front 7 is solid. Ya they lost Moss, but they are gunna be running alot more this year and have a bunch of good RB's that should be able to produce a nasty "RB by committee"... Not to mention Culpepper is still the man!

Thoughts???

I like the Falcons in the NFC and San Diego in the AFC. But if I had to bet I would probably put my money on something safe like Philly in the NFC and either New England or Pitt in the AFC.

I really dont think that the Colts improved their D at all. I see them in the AFC Confrence Championship but losing again... eventually they will learn that they need some D to go all the way.

Falcons? Maybe San Diego but im still not sold on Vick. Yes he is fun and exiting but he doesnt come up big in big games.

I could see the falcons doing exactly what the cowboy did this year and thats to show there real colors and implode. There D cant keep them in ball games like they did last year. Think last year was a complete fluke.

That would be my guess too. With an improved D the Chiefs could finally be a really good team. That O is so explosive. All they've needed the last few years was even an average D, and they would have been close to unstoppable.

I agree, and I will say the same about San Diego.

My picks will have to go for an all PA Super Bowl Eagles Vs. Pitt.

Ravens- Great D, and improved offence Jamal should be back, and better WR should get them there.

Eagles-I just dont think that anyone will stop them this year.

Vick in the playoffs is 1-2 and never beat Green Bay. He has passed for 136 , 82, and 176. He managed 2 passing td to 2 ints. He did rush for approx 200 in those 3 game which looks good until you see he had 4 fumbles. No he sucks against good D's that game plan for him.

I still see the falcons being good but I think that the Steelers are going to pull what the cowboys did. The Steelers were definatly a fluke. same with Rothlisberger. He will be good, but not as good as he is hyped up to be. I think that the Steelers are going to have trouble making the playoffs this year and they definatly are gunna lose their division to the Ravens...

It will be back to basics -- meaning defense will rule as the Baltimore Ravens square off against the Carolina Panthers. I think the Ravens will beat New England in the AFC Championship game, with Carolina beating Philadelphia for the NFC title.

Baltimore vs Philly, whether TO plays or not Philly is still the best team in a very weak NFC. Baltimore is gonna be alot better, Todd Heap missed alot of time last year and if he is healthy along with Clayton and Mason I think they'll be the representative from the AFC.

What do the steelers have to do to prove that there a good team to you. they pretty much destroyed both the teams that where in the superbowl during the season. the only reason they lost to the pats in the afc championship is because rothlisbuger choked. and if they went to the superbowl they wouldnt have just won by a fieldgoal like the pats.

Ok I know this is a stretch but hear me out.

THE PHINS will beat the colts in the AFC championship.

I say we go 7 - 0 before all the teams stop underestimating us. Nobody knows the system Saban will use. We have more talent at virtually every position (except QB) than most of the teams in the NFL. Plus how are defenses going to defend our Outstanding (best in the league) WR corp. + stop ricky and ronnie. We will have such a versitle and flexible offence no team will know what to expect or game plan for. Only Indy has an offense like ours and while theirs will be better they have not even close to the D we bring to the table. Plus I look for welker to score some pts. on special teams...

The NFC is a lot more wide open, but I would say the Vikings beat the Packers in the NFC championships.

They are a defensive team, hence the small victory margin. KC is an explosive offense who can beat any team any given week. The game was also in Kansas City, which as you probably know if a hell of a hard place to play. They beat San Diego, Denver, and Carolina (who really started to click toward the end of the year). They would have beaten the Seahawks if they didn't rest Vick(barely lost w/o him). Their defense is pretty solid, if Vick starts to light it up they will be VERY good.
