Jaguars | Taylor Says He Will be Ready to Go
Wed, 15 Jun 2005 17:03:17 -0700

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Fred Taylor (knee), during an interview on the NFL Network, said his knee injury was a little more severe than originally thought but he is now feeling "terrific" and doing "outstanding." He said he believes he will be ready for the start of training camp, but noted he does not have to be ready until the start of the season because his experience allows him to miss the preseason. At this point, he is running straight ahead at half-speed and doing some lateral work. "I'm going to be fine, no need to worry about Fred," Taylor said.

Wow a couple of months ago he was expected to be out for the season, now he's ready to go. Good news for Jacksonville Jaguar fans, and this will most likely eliminate Jacksonville from the race of getting Travis Henry or Shaun Alexander.

He's only missed two games the past 3 years. Everyone has a misconception about him because he was hurt a lot early in his career.

He is still one of the top 10 backs in the league but you don't hear much about him because Jack Del Rio "Barry Sanders" Fred once he gets them to the goal line. 8 TDs the past two years is pathetic when he should have about 25.
