every year IGN Sports goes division by division, and gives us all the default players ratings...this year, they started with the NFC West

http://sports.ign.com/articles/632/632415p1.html

as each day passes, and each division is revealed, I'll post the link if it's any different than this one.

I believe that was around his speed in 05, dunno about that acceleration. Especially coming off that injury.

i know espn used to have speed ratings relative to positioning, you know an 88 speed linebacker is not as fast as an 88 speed running back and so on, so if thats the case i can live with that, but peterson doesnt need to be beating most running backs to the corner on a consistant basis

they ARE the default ratings.....I dont know what that other guy was talking about. They've done this for a few years, and they post the out-of-the packaging default ratings

Yo, Dudeman your not doing a very goodjob updating this, LOL. The whole NFC is now up on IGN.com.

FYI, They rated Cadillac Williams and Cedric Benson a 83 overall. So Ronnie should be higher. They gave Caddy a 92 in speed and a 95 in acceleration. They better give Ronnie his due. :D

heres what im guessing

feeley was an 80 in madden 2005, i think they'll make him a little better this year now that he has some playing experience... im guessin ghe'll be an 82, about his awareness though in one of the videos feeleys cone was about the same size as carson palmers, which is a good sign...

brown should be an 84 with benson and caddy being 83s....

chambers will prob be an 89
booker 85
boston 87
mcmike 90

i dont know if they'll have ricky in the game, if they do i wonder what they will rate him.... and im guessing our o-line will suck though last year mcdougal was an 87 on the lions, so thats a good thing...

im guessing JT will have to be like a 95+... zach last year was a 94, im guessing he'll sill be in the 90s this year though prob a 91...

ohpefully they'll be out today though, cant wailt for this ****ing game and the damn season to get started already

Ok, I'm an idiot, but does it really work that way? Don't they keep the same stats through the year, win or lose?

That chart screws us. 79 defense!? 95 for the Bills!? Jesus

I think we'll only have about 4-5 players with a 90+ rating this season. And Ronnie will get an 81 IMO.

they will be doing the AFC East last....look at the pattern

in terms of QBs, my guess is Frerotte 78, AJ 77....

well the pattern for the NFC was west, north, east south... so if they do the same then we should know by tomorrow...

I would think that Feeley would get somewhere in 78-81. Ferrote will prob get like 77. I am really wondering on how Chambers, Booker and Boston will be rated.

I guess your ratings are somewhat granted. It would be the Pats, at 97 then that were highly overrated.

I feel that our defense, regardless, is better than a 16 point down on yours though.

the AFC north is up... by the way the NFC went the East should be up TONIGHT! so tonight we will finally be disappointed and be able to curse the people who make the ratings for ****ing over our dolphins, haha...

heres the AFC North http://sports.ign.com/articles/635/635263p1.html

only ranking of note that might tell us something... braylon edwards is an 84... i think thats what ronnie will get too...

He had one mistake in the playoff game where he through an interception late to seal the deal. Yes he was a rookie, but a damn good one. Don't take credit from him. His indiviual skill was seen in the playoffs...:shakeno:

How am I being a homer? The Steelers defense and running game led them to the majority of those wins. I like Big Ben, but he doesn't deserve all the credit for those wins when their offense was running the ball 60+% of the time and their defense was shutting teams down. Yeah he had a few good games, but he also made PLENTY of mistakes in the playoffs due to his inexperience. And check your numbers, he threw 2 crucial INTs aginst the Pats that were just plain horrible throws. I do think he's gonna be a good QB, but I also think he gets too much credit for last season. Relax

I agree with you
They were mostly a Run Kinda team
and there defense did most of the work

Dont get me wrong he had some nice plays but he is def not an 88 in MADDEN
