For the upcoming football season i would like to get one or the other. I already know that DVR cost 20$ a month adn TIVO is 13$ plus the 50$ for the box. But i want to know from some people that have them and tell me what their opinion is. THanks

I agree. I just had a cable DVR and it sucked. TiVo is way beyond what that does. Plus cable can't compete with satellite's digital picture quality.

I just got The Ticket and DirecTV/TiVo last week. Can't wait!!

In the US you have to have Directv to get the Ticket.

I just got DVR (10 bucks a month) from Charter. With my school schedule/upcoming work schedule I'll miss some of my favorite shows (Scrubs, Survivor, etc...).

I love it so far. It's awesome...

THanksi don't know if its true in all areas, but if you sign up for direct now, you get it in 4 rooms plus a free DVD player and if you sign up now you get a free DVR, $19.95 for the first 3 months, then i think it goes up to $39.95! can't beat it with a stick.;)
