No this isnt about the car company (although an argument could be made about that) It seems the Cassini space craft has picked up some eerie sounding radio frequencies from Saturn. Sounds pretty creepy.

Here's the article: http://www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/cassini/multimedia/pia07966.html

If you just want to listen to the transmission: http://www.nasa.gov/123163main_cas-skr1-112203.wav

Space is definately a very interesting subject. There's no telling what the hell is going on out there.

I'll have to wait until the morning. It's too late to listen to anything creepy this late at night! I don't want to pee the bed!

The complex radio spectrum with rising and falling tones, is very similar to Earth's auroral radio emissions. These structures indicate that there are numerous small radio sources moving along magnetic field lines threading the auroral region.

Time on this recording has been compressed, so that 73 seconds corresponds to 27 minutes. Since the frequencies of these emissions are well above the audio frequency range, we have shifted them downward by a factor of 44.

I was unaware of this. This would be painstakingly slow if listened to in real time.

The Forbbiden Planet was spot on. I could almost see the invisible monster footprints sneaking up on the spaceship. good call

Yup, and inaudible at that.

Incredible.
