Fellow FINHEAVEN members. I enjoy coming here to see what fellow fans for the Miami Dolphins think and feel about the season and the franchise.

I can also accept irrational, non-factual based, opinion and mongering. Thats part of being a fan, a Fanatic.

However, without turning this into an English class I ask you to think about these two words below.

Let's offer our critique but minimize the unfounded, unsupportive criticizing that has been recently taking place on this forum.

I want to read your views, thoughts, opinions...but not just have you point out the faults only of a specific player without facts.

Give me honest critique (merits and faults) of the talents and weaknesses of the team, it will be far more enjoyable for all I hope.

Sorry if this is offensive to anyone, and yes I dont have to read all posts, but I would enjoy it if I could have a rational discussion about a given topic.

This board is what it is, people will come and go. The ones that really enjoy this site talk good football and the ones that will stop posting after a month will post garbage. I don't like it, it just is what it is.

Sure, but wouldnt it help the readers if you would try to "judge" the faults and provide supporting reasons towards the cause of them not just the effect.

I support anyones desire to find fault, just wondering if we cant critique its cause if you can and analyze that cause.

Hopefully I won't offend anyone either, but I don't think some of the posters on this site have the comprehension to acknowlage your post.

I do agree with you 110%, and have been trying to point this out to some of the "crap posters", sometimes it's to no avail though.:shakeno:

Rock on though, great post:D

Thanks for the reminder about critique and critcize. I do agree that one sometimes does beget the other, though sometimes it's difficult to keep raw emotion from creeping into a post. Our beloved, proud franchise has suffered under dubious leadership for the past several years and the product on the field has been inferior (except for the defense). A bitter pill to swallow after so many years of excellence.

Still, the "Ronnie sucks"-type posts are not constructive. I was surprised and angered by the number of negative posts I read during last Sunday's game thread. You'd have thought our board had been overtaken by Jets fans!

I, for one, believe we're moving in the right direction and have the correct leadership to take us back to the glory days. A few tweaks here, a new player or two there, and we're right back in it.

Go Dolphins! All hail the Sabanator!

I dont have an issue with the "Insert Name SUCKS" threads.....my simple point is if thats your view for creating the thread add to it.

"To judge the merits and faults of; analyze and evaluate"

Analyze it, Evaluate it, why does he SUCK? What do you see that he lacks or what lacks around him to make you come to that conclusion. Convince me he SUCKS or be prepared to be rebutted with facts as to why he doesnt.

Never bring a knife to a gun-fight!!

I know from my perspective, I analyze and evaluate all of the time in my head. Usually post about it once or twice but when there is a hot topic, numerous threads about the same topic pop up every two seconds. Sometimes I just post one-liners in those threads whereas in other threads about the same subject I will have typed a pretty well thought out paragraph or two..

I know I don't have to write page long essays to get my point across and if I don't agree with someones POV from which I feel strongly against that POV, you'll hear it from me, but it may not be as sweet and nice as some would like it.

I just want to add that I love this place - it's well run and very professional as far as MB's go.. I wouldn't donate my hard earned money if it wasn't.

Sometimes though, it's easy for me to get carried away at times because, well, because it's the internet and I'm human. :)

I feel bad when i piss of the mods, believe it or not, but sometimes I get so thick headed that I can't hold back.. The italian in me. :)
